I liked the previous movies to a certain level but it's desperately time for a new vision, the movie won't do so well if we have the same thing again.

Even if true, the only thing this would guarantee is that the explosion quota would go down a bit. I want them to bring in a good scriptwriter. And I want Bay to let that man write the d*** movie.

Bay's just trolling the haters. Until I see someone else's name attached to the opening credits, I won't believe it.

I don't think that Bay is going to leave the franchise any time soon. However, if he does, that might not necessarily be a good thing. The thing is, if Bay really does leave the movies, I don't think that Paramount is going to go to the trouble to reboot the franchise and get a better (i.e. more expensive) director. Most likely what will happen is the Paramount will continue with the franchise and get one of their discount Michael Bay's to direct. And if there is anything worse Michael Bay at his absolute worst, it is someone trying to do a bad impression of him at his best :Cough: Battleship :Cough:

Million to one says that if Bay does decide to leave the director's chair and hand it over, he'll hand it to the guy that just directed TMNT aka the same guy that Bay just worked with for two years to make a highly visual "Bay looking" super-action summer movie. Or any one of the other directors that have been under his control with the movies he produced.

Like it or not, THAT is what makes the most sense in all ways in a situation like this - not any of the other Top 10 director's in the world suddenly coming on board to be "handed" an already in-motion franchise. I mean, seriously, do some of you guys really believe with a straight face that someone like Del Toro or Spielberg or Cameron or Jackson or whoever the hell else you always absurdly suggest are going to be all like "huh, yeah, I'm free, sure I'll direct the part 5 and maybe part 6 sequel(s) of this Bay controlled franchise that's been going on since 2007 and continue using everything that's already in place design & story wise so that next to nothing of MY style comes through". Give me an effing break. Common sense and logic, people; use it.

I don't care about the TF cinematic universe anymore. If it does reboot, I just want to see them start with the war on Cybertron just to have a transformers live-action movie that isn't about humans.

"Uh..." what? Spielberg has been a producer of this franchise and gave the directing job to Bay. He's not going to pick up Bay's leftovers 5 movies and 9-10 years later.

Right, because being literally neck deep in so many other projects will mean he'll have the time (and interest) to pick up what Bay possibly walks away from. That makes so much logical sense. :rolleyes2

Wow, some of you guys are... I'm not even going to say it. Just, wow.

The movies make a ton of money but the toy line is boring & stale now. I think everybody is tired of the movie style figures.

THIS^ is exactly what I expect to happen if a new director takes over.

    1. The movie will be a lot shorter which means a lot less robot screen time.
    2. There will be a lot more human talking & pointless blah blah blah.
    3. Less action & explosions. We won't be seeing whole cities getting trashed anymore.
    4. A huge build up that leads to a very weak/lame/short final battle. Which seems to be the trend these days.

The credits will start rolling & everybody will say "what? you mean that's it?". Every time I think of a new director I think of Iron Man 2 & 3 & the GI Joe movies. I don't want Transformers to go in that direction.

I totally agree with you but don't look for any common sense or logic. Majority of the human race simply don't have those 2 things. If they did then the world would be a totally different place.

I want him to leave the franchise, but he won't.
