not like it would happen, but i would love if they left the trilogy with the CONS being the winners. would really change things and leave the whole movie continuation open for anything at that point. would be nice to see a change for once instead of the good guys always winning.

Actually, I have a feeling Shockwave is gonna be a HUGE threat - pretty much all Transformers are equipped with "generic" explosive ammunition and/or lasers, but Shockwave could be equipped with Cybertronian equivalents to the military's nuclear warheads, and he's causing total chaos. Y'know what that means - Michael Bay would gets to make an atomic explosion or two.

Anybody forget the alleged "cold war angle" they were trying to roll with?
Here's what I'm thinking: maybe, somehow, the Decepticons have managed to turn all the other countries against America in an effort to isolate the Autobots. seems paranoid enough to work.

 

Considering that Kennedy makes an appearance in the beginning of the film, the movie touches on the Cold War it wouldn't surprise if somehow the planet is ravaged by nuclear war. Might explain why there are few people to help which isn't a bad thing. Let the robots fight it out without human interference. A Blackhawk Down type ending sounds like the battle of Autobot City in the '86 movie. Optimus with his trailer driving through the death and destruction in the city taking drones out and then combines with his trailer or uses it as a secret weapon to take out the Decepticons once and for all. Sounds cool.

 

This sounds maybe like we might get some kind of apocalypse event in the movie-verse, like some have already said, and it reminds of a rumour I really liked before the first movie came out that Megatron was going to assume a stealth bomber alt. mode and hold cities to ransom with his nukes.
