https://www.thewrap.com/michael-bay-italy-pigeon-killing-exclusive/ Michael Bay has killed a pigeon. I cannot believe we are letting this slide in our modern age. He deceived all of us into thinking he liked animals (specifically elephants). We should do something.
“I was offered by the Italian authorities a chance to settle this matter by paying a small fine, but I declined to do so because I would not plead guilty to having harmed an animal,” Bay added. My man is a millionaire and could have easily paid this fine, but he doesn't want to out of principle. That's actually hilarious.
Allegedly? Good on him for not paying the fine and giving in to it, especially if he isn't responsible.
"Oh, that pigeon blew up before I yelled action, you can't prove shit, but I will say that if such footage existed it would look awesome." - Michael Bay, probably Post F in the thread to pay our respects for the pigeon.
It actually probably did. Or it got run over by a car or something by accident after wandering on set. I mean it's not like he just stomped it to death on set just to make an example. I just want to see how the court proceedings are going to go. Like do they have a body? Are they doing a pigeon autopsy to find Bay's fingerprints? Was the pigeon found in Bay's hotel room with stab-wounds?
You can get charged with (presumably by total accident) killing a pigeon? I thought they were generally seen as pests. Also: “No animal involved in the production was injured or harmed. Or on any other production I’ve worked on in the past 30 years.” How about you tell that to the poor extra who suffered permanent brain damage from an accident during the filming of DOTM you troglodyte.
Firstly, he was talking about animals, which I, like most people, like to separate human beings from. Secondly, you can't blame Bay for what happened to that woman while they were making DOTM. A cable snapped; he can't control that. It's unfortunate and it sucks, but it's not like Bay personally cut the cable. Sometimes, shit happens. EDIT Here's an article on the topic: Woman injured during filming of 'Transformers' movie wins $18.5 million
I'm saying this reaction to accidently killing a pigeon is hilarious when you consider how quiet they were regarding that far worse accident. I'm aware he probably had no control over what happened with this bird either, but one is a bird and the other is a human being. You'll notice in my original comment I don't actually blame him for what happened, but to come out and say "no animals have ever been harmed on mah film set" rings a bit hollow when something far worse happened.
