I doubt Michael Bay is actually writing the full script himself. More likely he's writing action scenes and maybe even a detailed outline of some sort. He did say he can't do the film without his writers. Either way, I hope this writers strike is resolved soon. If an agreement can be made with the Directors guild then there's no reason one can't be made with the WGA.

I don't find the writer's strike insane at all.

I believe he was talking about the impact it's had on tv and movie production.

Or instead of whinging and trying to justify, he could start pressuring the studios he's made billions for to bring realistic offers to the table...

I'm pretty ignorant to the whole situation (Yes I have been living under a rock), people haven't died so i'm pretty sure its funny. Well maybe my ignorance makes it funny to me but laughing makes everything ok again.

Whats the strike over money? If so thats very funny. Over religion then thats just unfortunate as thats never cool. If its because of prinicple then thats just silly.

animation doesn't require the actors or writers guilds does it? maybe he'll make the entire movie animated if that's what it takes.

Sorry, but BAY writing the film? I don't think so. I admire than man as a director, but do NOT want him touching my Transformers as he is so not a fan beyond the money this movie would make him.

So, there's every possibility that Bay will try to push forward with no writers AND no actors. This movie is going to rule the school!

I agree with whomever said he's probably writing actions scenes based on the treatment they had when the strike began.

I'm sure he's got the help of writers not in the guild, too. I don't find this news disturbing at all. On the contrary.
