News Post: Michael Bay Comments On The Future Of Transformers Movie Franchise
yea like we all really thought he was serious when he said he wouldn't work on transformers anymore........
Here’s hoping for a fresh new take on the franchise.
As much as I want a reboot more centered to G1 all I read was "Stay tuned for Michael Bay's Beast Wars."
That almost sounds like a graceful bowing out.
In other words, they will be a new story for the next movie and the entire Unicron plot will be dropped and another ancient Cybertronian artifact will be shoehorned in as the greatest discovery of humanity and it totally won’t be conveluted at all. If I remember correctly, the next movie takes place in Rome with the ancient Romans having discovered some sort of artifact. I can write fanfiction better then these “professionals”.
Fuck all of it, all I care about are the figures at this point. I’ll take my leader Blackout and leave now.
just wish he'd credit the pre-exsisting fanbase for this 10 year run. He was handed the golden ticket and claims all the glory.
So every time someone says "TF movies", we have to check with Michael Bay to see how he feels?
Am I the only one looking for an IGNORE button on all of his TF comments?
Producing... yes... maybe he can run TFs further into the ground from behind the chair, as he did with TMNT?
God... can you imagine trying to direct a TF movie with Michael Bay producing it? "No, no... you need a shot of Megan Fox bending over in this scene! Yeah! And everyone should be drooling there.... wait, we left out the bad, American Pie 'comedy'!"
Shut up. It was fun the first time but it got out of hand fast. Now step down, please.
The franchise will never have a decent chance until Bay is 100% not at all involved in any way and they completely reboot. Until then I have no hope for TF movies.
At least even he knows it's time to change (hopefully), I'll take him any day as a producer istead of di Bonaventura
Just move on, please.
I'm glad Bay is here to stay. I honestly don't think he's the worst part of the production team. New writers and directors should make each installment fresh, while Bay in the back seat can make sure it all still feels grand and epic. Bonaventura is the dude they need to get rid of.
just shut up and go away already
As long as they totally rework the bot designs I'll be happy. No more robo-skeletons, please make them more G1'ish, at the very least something cool like Pacific Rim.
Do you want to know how many people I personally know who were transformers fans prior to the movies? Two. And I can give you a list of 50 people who couldn't give a rats ass about transformers before they saw those movies. We did not keep this franchise afloat. The general public who loves action and giant robots fighting did.
Oh he's done directing these. This time it actually IS real. No doubt about it.
The problem is that he'll never let go as an executive producer. It's nothing but free money, even if the next iteration tanks, and he'll still want "control" over everything.
Uh oh !
