Oh, cool. Hopefully, it turns out well. I liked the character in the comics (Earth-2 was the better part of the N52 for me personally) and I'd be down with seeing Jordan play the character himself.

This is how you "diverse" a character, by making a new character and not fuck up current ones.

Well he's not really new he was introduced in the New 52 Earth 2 series. But yeah this works better than just changing a established character. But promoting a lesser known one instead.

There is no right or wrong way to "diverse" a character, whenever they make a change to a character for a show or movie, it's because it's a different variation of said character.

So will they introduce O.G. Power Girl? Last I remember, Val-Zod and Karen were a couple in New 52 Earth-2.

It's like there's Hawkeye that is Clint and new Hawkeye who is Kate instead of Clint being a Clinta, get my analogy? Different variation is just lazy ass thinking instead of coming up with new characters and then make them whatever race or gender you want. Leave the legacy ones alone.

Best idea was instead of making a diverse Hal Jordan they came up with John Stewart who is beloved, not that hard man.

No that's just 2 characters sharing the mantle, which happens in comics all the time. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it "lazy ass".

Or how about you find another legacy to like and the IP owners can do whatever they want with their products.

Say what now? I'm giving examples how they created their own equivalent characters without race bending or gender swapping and you just yapping for no reason.

Now you know how I feel whenever I see a post like yours complaining about character being changed.

Yeah, I really liked that Earth-2 comic as well (although they fucked it up at the end).
