My reaction exactly. From a visual standpoint you can see that the game's really coming along very nicely. With the exception of playing the original MGS on my NES and about 15 minutes of MGS1 on the PS1, I've never played any one of the newer games. I guess that's why I didn't get it.

 

Haha. Same here. I played the NES Metal Gear and loved it. Played about an hour of the MGS1 on the PS1 and thats it. I think I am going to try to play through them all before this comes out.

Snake Eater Sustinance, is the one to play. I like that they fnally added a cool camera element.

 

Subsistance. And a lot of people hate the new camera.

 

assuming you're referring to the subsistence change, I don't know how anyone can possibly hate a camera mode that allows you to see more of your environment.

 

Oh man, Snake in a Rex vs Ocelot in a Ray, rad.

And is the female-doesn't like to button her shirt-doctor-looking-person Naomi Hunter?

And who is the Boss looking broad near the end?

I can't wait for this game.

 

I like monkeys.

 

Man it looks good, but I fear another game that is going to have a plot that spirals into absurdity.

She's aged well...you know for being nearly 70.

 

mgs1 is the quickest to play through and has the least confusing story....

2 and 3 are a conspiracy theorists dream, mgs4 is a continuation of the mgs2 story.

MGS3 has nothing on 2 though in pure complexity.

Hell, MGS3 is downright self explanatory in comparison.

 

I am sure Kojima has some crazy explaination for this- but how can Meryl be alive? In MGS it was pretty much you beat it with her alive, or Otocon, but not both. Otocon is snakes partner in MGS 2, so I don't see how Meryl is still alive.

The clips of this game are nice but I tend to think they are showing a lot of the game- not unusual for an MG game, but I think it's too early too feel too excited.

 

Otacon doesn't die in the Meryl lives ending, he just doesn't leave Shadow Moses piggy backing Snake on a snow mobile.
