At first I didn't recognize it, but then I did a babelfish on it, and the text refers to the cassette as "steel pliers"... It is Steeljaw?

 

Need to see more.

 

What is that tape supposed to be? A gun?

 

I think it's Steeljaw, but he only half transforms it. Take that last photo, and assume it's the back of Steeljaw, with the head in front. Continue folding down the front legs, and the rotate the back legs 180 so they are below the body. Then you get a lion.

 

3rd parties sure are stepping on each other's toes with these new upcoming releases. XD

This is the one third party trand I am really hating.

Jaizai makes Powerglide and we now have like 3 or 4 of the very same thing going around.
How many Hound and ravage gun sets are there? 3? 4?

I don;t mind overlaps like Herc and Giant because they are most epic. When you get into little side accessories there are so many ways to go and all are inexpensive to make.

Here is one for you guys and I garuntee it will sell because the characters and toys are hot.

Little red box with no front and top, add some white wings on the side and viola...you just made Inferno's head look like G1. Remove the wings and make the box yellow and BANG, Grapple is now G1 accurate.

Stop stealing from things that are already made, there are more than enough fans here with simple yet great ideas that they want stolen/made...go after those and be original.

 

Well, as long as they do different molds... at least this is a new mold for the gun and missiles, and adds a gas can.

 

Leave it up to China to even have third parties copying other third parties.

Nay, just gets me annoyed every time they do something like this.

 

I don't see what the problem is; we simply have more variety to choose from. The argument that these groups could be doing something new is somewhat fallacious, since it implies they're actually capable of doing it, or actually have the interest in that other project. The fact is, there isn't a project pool that all third parties have to choose from without replacement.

It's the same argument as, "If Hasbro didn't make X they could have made Y, where X is something I don't want and Y is". It's derived from self-entitlement.

 

How about a proper Deluxe or Voyager sized Blaster?

Seems like a great idea given the number of cassette projects going on.

Don't know if I'd get the set, but I like this handgun much more than Dr. Wu's.

 

It would be nice instead, if they focused on a huge Classics weapon set for all of the figs. This one at a time thing is kind of maddening.

 

My Ravage does need missiles...$10 or gtfo.

 

I see your point in that it'd be nice to see new stuff, but I still disagree. I'd rather have choice. I still haven't seen a Powerglide that I like, to be quite honest. I'm waiting for iGear's Minibot but I'm starting to like the idea of a bigger Powerglide... still, the one available doesn't really have a lot of detail to it...

I have to admit, I'd like this!  

 

I agree with this. I like it a lot but I just started collecting Classics and now I'm more into the Deluxe Class or maybe Scout class so it doesn't really fit into what I want to collect now.
