It's very likely that the electronics are what are making Dredd's bike so costly. Now I'm torn on getting it or the regular release. I guess it boils down to if I decide I really need the bike or not. Are there preorders for Frankenstein yet?
I imagine they will likely gimp the accessories Dredd on the bike comes with to get people to pick up the regular release as well. I'm super glad it's a Previews Exclusive, means I can order it through my LCBS and get 20% off when it comes in. The Black & White NYCC Dredd is available at BBTS as well: 1:12 Scale Judge Dredd Action Figure Black & White NYCC 2015 Exclusive - Judge Dredd / 2000 AD Figures I never got the Batman (too limited for me, and I already have four different Batman anyways) but I'll likely get this Dredd. Looks super sharp in B&W.
B&W is super tempting. Wish I had the Batman, but like Roufuss said it was too limited to bother going for.
Honestly, I don't even think it's that good looking since Batman doesn't have a lot of detail on him in that costume so it doesn't really pop. If it was like $100 or so, I'd likely get it, but not for the prices people want for it. Dredd has a ton of detail and the B&W really pops, imo. Plus, since Dredd is printed in B&W it just makes more sense to me to have a figure to represent that. Also, my girlfriend would likely kill me if I bought a 5th Mezco Batman

Yeah, I really want the bike, but don't want to skimp on any of Dredd's accessories to get it. Not interested in getting multiple versions. Honestly I skipped Batman altogether. Yes. I know how awesome he is as I've messed with him, but he's from my least favorite Batman story so I refuse to own him. I'll buy a normal or movie Batman if they make one. Though I'm not really liking the looks of most of the DC stuff anyways. Flash looks good, but Superman seems too huge. Just don't care for it. All things considered I'll probably be passing on all or most of the DC stuff. In contrast Space Ghost looks really good and I'll definitely pick him up along with Dress. Yeah. The very idea of Universal Monsters done in Mezco's 1:12 line is very exciting.
The Dredd bike is cool, but I don't really want one that badly. I'll just be happy with the regular figure.
Just got the email from BBTS to expect the regular release Dredd to be in-stock within the next 10 days. Can't wait, it's finally coming!!
I guess I need to make up my mind if I want this one or the one on the bike. These don't last long even at their high price tags.
NYCC B&W Judge Dredd. Every bit as good as Batman. What ever problems there may be with this line timing/character selection/repaints/etc... it is still a great experience to open up one of their figures. This one feels just as 'right' as Batman does.
The regular release Judge Dredd Lawmaster (just the bike) is up for preorder at $125. Est. due in February. BBTS Mezco Shop
My Dredd is sitting in my POL waiting for ThreeA's 6 inch Judge Death to drop...goddamn it he looks so good!
I'm actually waiting for BBTS to get more Dredd figures in -- got my regular release in and he had red paint smeared all over the inside of the visor. Was nearly impossible to get in there and clean it out since it was so thick and the opening between visor and face is so slim. First time I had to do a return in BBTS in six years but they took care of me, and have offered to inspect the new one before they send it back. Sucks waiting for them to get more in though, Mezco is just trickling these things out.
Star Trek: Hikaru Sulu $70.00 Jun/July BBTS Mezco($15 shipping though) And if anyone missed this reveal: Spock $70 Jun/July BBTS Mezco($15 shipping) They already have Kirk in the works, so I wonder if they might do the whole cast. If it was just Spock and Kirk I was thinking about passing, but if we get: Kirk Spock Sulu Checkov Bones Scotty Uhura then there is no way I could pass these up. I'm hoping they learned their lesson from TDKR and give us a more complete cast with ST. We'll see.
While I do hope they do the whole crew, and some others, the only one I think I'll go for is Bones. He's my favorite ST character. I'm still upset that Funko skipped him when they did their TOS POP! vinyls. Has there been any word on them possibly getting the licensing to do TNG figures as well? I also wouldn't get the whole crew, but I would love to see Riker done in this line. Granted, I would also love to see them do DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, and nuTrek as well, but we all know how likely any of those are... Still waiting to see how their Thundarr figures turn out. I'm sure Thundarr and Ariel will be great, but I'm a little cautious about how they'll handle Ookla.
I'm not sure if they have TNG or not. There was a list of all their licenses from some toy show, but it wasn't clear which of them were for 1/12 figures. TNG would be pretty cool. Picard/Riker/Data/LaForge would be enough for me (but the whole main crew would be nice too). A Riker with 2 head sculpts would be awesome, beard/no-beard. It's funny, I have 0 interest in any Star Trek collection unless it's in this Mezco series. Loved both the shows, but never felt the need to collect any figures or memorabilia. Excited by the reveal of Sulu since I thought they were only doing Spock and Kirk. Edit: found the info pic from Fwoosh. Hard to tell if the Star Trek is just a logo from the original series or the whole brand.
From what I know, that particular logo is only ever used for TOS licensing. Since the TOS crew should sell nicely, I imagine there will be a good chance of them picking up the TNG licensing some time in the future. Assuming hey haven't already done so since that announcement. That said, I hope they swing for the fences and get some of the other Trek licensing. I forgot they had Thundercats. That'll be interesting, and another reason to pass on Mattel's overpriced MOTUC retools.
Mezco is killing it. That looks amazing. Really hope they go back and improve the Flash and Superman they showed at SDCC.
