I didn't get into the Mezco game until shortly before Wuhan hit, but what there was didn't seem as bad as it is now. That said, there's a lot of moving pieces at play, plenty of which we don't even know about, so I'm not comfortable laying all of the blame at Mezco's feet.
Well I won't be jumping ship on mezcos but I do think I am about gomezed out. There are only so many version of that guy a shelf needs especially when he is starting to out number regular figures. I mean I know roaches multiply but for every regular fig there is a gomez to fight just about.
Yeah I'm kind of tired of just Gomez as well...but may be the fact that I just got two of them in lol. I like the Rumble Society expanding, but I've got tons of them too. Just got way too much going on and need to sift through and cut some weight.
Hmmm... Now that Xeno is based on this done by Neca back in December 2nd/2015. Details and Photos for NECA Aliens Series 7 However Mezco's version is done with the seamless body (aka body design for Bats, Freeze and these 2 variants of the Xeno). I'm guessing the stuff will be the same as the other version, just different colour change. Here's the stuff that came with the Big Chap for those that need a refresher. Love the Aliens/Preds, but this is not my fancy. If Mezco can up their game and make the more versions of the Aliens/Preds (a la Neca in 1/12 scale), then I'll be in otherwise money saved for something else.
I thought Freeze was on a standard body? I don't remember hid body being a seamless. I thought that was just the 89 and the Xenomorphs?
It's not based on NECA, they're both based on concept art for the Alien. Yeah Freeze is just on a normal body. I wonder about the Aliens, if I had to guess I think they'll be something like where the joints are just covered with flexible plastic as opposed to the entire body being one molded piece.
I picked my advent set up last night after work. I requested a hold at the Walgreens near my house and gave my name and the manager said ..oh,you get a lot of stuff sent here. If she had any idea what my neighbors see left in front of my door...
I like this version more than the previous release, not going to pre-order as I got too many things still in boxes and no room to display it.
I like how you can see the details on the body really well but I'm just going to stick with the regular Alien.
One of my biggest issues with basically...all Big Chap renditions is that the skull is wayyyyy too visible through the dome, especially where the eyes would be. Regardless of what the costume looks like, I'm nearly 100% certain you could never see the eyes of that skull through the dome in the actual film. This white version kinda helps alleviate this gripe of mine since it all blends in, but I still don't have a good version of the standard Alien, so I'll probably pass.
No interest in the Alien which is ironic since it was the Kenner Aliens line that got me back into toy collecting. That ship has long since sailed. Had the mother load of stuff hit today mail wise. But my Advent Calendar which is weird since stuff that shipped after it has showed up. It’s been at the same place since 12/15. I called on it but they have no idea where it is or what’s going on with it after looking into it. They said give it a few days to see if it pops up, if not, I’ll have to file a claim. Was the box it came in big? Also any markings like the Mezco logo tape on it? Thanks.
Pretty non descript flat cardboard box. Long and flat like a boardgame actually. Mine had no outside markings at all. Plain brown
Hmm.. Is Mezco trying push out delayed and backlogged orders, therefore just putting stuff inside a box and using regular tape to seal the boxes? The last package I got with the Roach tape was the Solo Black Skull release. @Legate - Keep us posted when you get the Classics Wonder Women box and if it’s sealed with the Roach faced tape.
There was one movie license that was teased with Superman couple of years ago in NYTF Feb.22/2020 and nothing has popped up yet: Black Widow. He showed up today!!! I jumped on his po right away cause I wanted something for Doc Noc to fight. I don’t have the green one so he’s kind of heavy. I also didn’t expect any awesome art on the box plus the flocked logo. Kick ass!!!! Got an email from Mezco’s customer service about my missing Advent Calendar. They said FedEx listed I no longer live at the address I have shipping to and please update my address. I sent a response but nothing back as of yet. I guess with all my right deliveries yesterday I was due for a headache one....
