Change of discussion here... For those that pre-ordered Remy LeBeau, is anyone hoping that be equal in par to other releases (not including the ones that really bombed out) or just turn off people from getting future Mezco One:12 releases or just cherry pick certain ones only and hopefully it works out as it intended to be (not counting the official mascot stuff that causes most of everyone to go crazy over with). As the quote that I learned from another forum: "One step forward, then two steps back" in forgetting what they had learned and go back to the original way of doing things from scratch.
Someone mentioned this on the Reddit AMA that Mez jumped into for a bit, and he said basically "sorry you don't enjoy all the extras" and that was it.
It’s a transparent cash grab. If it isn’t offer it both ways with the garbage and without. That way all the winners who want a Mezco pin for their battle-vests can still get one. I’ll pass.
Frank Frazetta's Death Dealer One:12 Collective Death Dealer Exclusive $200 Hahahahaha I’m good Mezco thanks for the laughs.
I don't have a stake in this one and the figure looks cool but Iron Man Was diecast and had LED features for $100. The extras here maybe justify a $120 price tag but $200 is kinda crazy. Anyways, whoever is happy paying that, more power and enjoyment to them.
I think there's part of it that is unique molding. Mezco did 3 different versions of their Iron Man figure all entirely the same as far as the molding went. For this guy, I'm wondering if he's using Conan's body, or arms/legs at least, since they're both unique. But the head and many accessories seem to be unique. It's still overpriced yeah, the $200 price tag is BBTS though, that's not an MSRP. BBTS just bought them for $150 and adds that on top for profit, they're not distributing it.
That makes sense. I didn't look into it more but if $150 is the msrp, that is closer to decent. But then I know if you buy direct through Mezco, it's like some insane $20 or something for shipping and taxes. Anyways, so many companies seem to be milking more and more but that's all a part of our unsustainable system of ever increasing profits so it is what it is.
Yeah I think they are in Long Island City if I remember right. It sucks for me in San Diego, it's about $22 for anything from them minimum.
Who has actually pre-ordered Remy LeBeau and is anyone hoping that he will be like the Punisher sculpt wise? To be honest, I did like it originally, however it still looked lackluster.
I wonder how long it will take for the PX Supreme Knight Batman to be released. And I'm starting to think I might need the regular one as well. By the way, anyone know why Anthony of Anthony's Customs hates Mezco so much?
I do, but have been on the verge of cancelling for a while now. He looks great, but the lack of waist mobility may kill it for me. That, and I have the Mafex ordered.
Whelp, I caved and ordered the standard Supreme Knight Batman. DAmazing's review sold me on it. Should have him Saturday. I'll likely double dip for the PX as well...
I won't be cancelling my pre-order by ANY means, but that said I do wish we'd gotten a Gambit uniform more along the lines of a cross between the Green Lantern and Moon Knight costumes with the plasticized segments. That way it would have preserved the range of motion and still had that signature Mezco flair.
At a retail outlet? If you’re on the mezco waitlist or watching BBTS for cancellations like a hawk, then maybe. Otherwise, forums and eBay I’m afraid.
