Seems like I keep coming back to this Metroplex every 3 years or so. I never got the T30 version (space, budget constraints) but I liked some of the ideas from it. This one started out as a Cybertron Metroplex with Cybertron Prime's guns as towers. I added a new head based on a G1 Superion KO, with a lot of sculpt added.

For v3 I resculpted the face (again) and added forearm blasters from a Darth Vader transformer, secured the towers to his shoulders in a wider stance, added a right shoulder missile tower from a Cobra Commander figure, added a few GI Joe backpacks to his right chest, and added TR Scourge's gun for a left shoulder cockpit gun.

Still working on the detail paint, but wanted to post this anyway.

Wow do you have an idea for a fan base mode?

I do. I have him capable of transforming to city mode as well as a spaceship mode (instead of ground platform). More to come.

Here's a few shots of city mode

and starship mode. The forearm guns become the main thrusters for the ship and there's a command tower that folds up in this mode.

Again, paint isn't final yet, but getting there...

I forgot one more thing... if he needs extra firepower in robot mode, his shoulders can pivot forward so that his tower guns can blast forward. The cool part is that his arms can rotate as if to grip from the sides naturally.

I love it so much I ran down to my basement to grab my junker Prime backpack. With how I have my Metroplex transformed it would really look cool, though I can't quite figure out how you did it.

    Thanks!

I had to cut out the guns from the Prime backpack, then hot glue them to the backs of the shoulders. In version 2 I had originally planned for them to be held as guns by Metroplex, so I tried attaching Lego pieces as handles. That didn't work out nearly so well, so I scrapped the idea for version 3. In this picture hopefully you can see how they're hot glued on. On the right shoulder there is still a big glob of hot glue showing in fact. There's a little scarring leftover on his left shoulder gun from when I tried to do the lego thing.
