Mine arrived today from EBay (got tired of searching Walmarts and Targets).
I saw this at my local Target in Northwest Indiana. Didn't opt to picking it up, as I didn't really see it being any more beneficial to me than my G1 reissue.
So this one is 1:32
And there's another at 1:24? Anyone have this one?
Amazon (not 3rd party seller) is charging $31.95 for that one!
I love so much 1:24 G1 truck. Think about if it comes to real world with Ita style, then I made one.
I have seen the small $7 1/32 a few times at Walmart but have been holding out for the $20 version of both g1 prime and the first movie trilogy prime and have yet to see them. I"m thinking I am going to just stop looking and order them online.
Just found and picked up the jada 1/24 scale kitt in my area Walmart this afternoon for $19.99. I was surprised to see anything new on the shelf let alone this
nice! I picked up both 1/24 and 1/32 scale kitt.... don't really like how the chassis is lowered in both scales ....
Yeah that chassis caught my eye too. Overall its a nice model but a few details caught my eye that really made me wonder why they chose them.
The part that I really don't like unless I'm missing something is the only way to light up kitts scanner is by opening up the car door. Closing it once the light stops flashing does not make the light turn on again and unless I'm missing something I don't see any other hidden buttons and it seems like a really odd design choice. Other than that the only other nitpick I have is with the license plate being just white saying knight rider instead of blue saying knight, but printing out a sticker will fix that
yeah bummer that the only way to light up the scanner is via open door..... the lack of kitt's voice modulator also irks me to no end and there totally zero dashboard stickers for smaller kitt so i decided to custom mine.... anyway do post your blue knight plate when u get it done....
ps: i also fixed the lowered chassis for 1/32 smaller kitt
That trailer looks really good. It makes Prime cab look more interesting.
All these latest pics made me go to check my ETRL Joyride 1/18 KITT which 99% of his life time stay as MIB since I bought it in 2009. That 1% was only opening the box and did review on the car, then off to storage. Upon re-opening him today, the button cells are dead and his winch grapple seems to stuck for no reason. I tried to fix it only to scrape some paints app, now just put back in box. Darn it. What motivate me to recheck him, I was going to ask you guys how the new Walmart Jada 1/24 KITT compare to the old ETRL Joyride 1/18 from the 2008 version.
Those dash details look great!
Gimmicks wise the ertl version has more with the winch, ejection seats, removable T-tops, steerable wheels, while the jada just has the basic opening hood, doors, trunk.
Detail wise I'd say the new jada version wins out, the new jada kitt has the most accurate front end I've seen on a knight rider yet.
Kitt in the series and the jada has fog lights in holes recessed in the bumper while other versions like the mpc model kit are either missing the lights altogether, or like the ertl, and even the hot wheels elite kitt have smooth bumpers with just squares for the lights.
The interior and dash look pretty much the same on both cars.
hot wheels elite has talking kitt, led scanner, Hoff nose front bumper , turbo boost sound effect and theme song..
Anyone know where to get a decent trailer for the 1:32 Optimus? The lack of one is the only thing that disappoints me about it.
I don't know if it's already been mentioned or not, but the smaller size ones that are $7 at Wal-Mart and Target are at Walgreen's. They are loose without the box. I saw a G1 Optimus, Movie Optimus, and KITT. Despite being located among the $4.99 cars, they were actually $5.99.
wth! thats weird! that's cool tho if people left there's in their box and want to display them!
