I know where i can get a copy of Metal Gear Acid for $20.. Is the game good? I heard mediocre reviews from pros, yet heard good reviews from everyday people. is it any good?
NO! Stay away, stay FAR away. Edit: unless you're really into card games or something... But I really hated that game, I quit halfway through the second level.
However, if you want to play a card game that still FEELS like a Metal Gear Solid game, then pick it up. Especially for such a low price.
I thought it was pretty good actually. It's a good game to make you think. While it's frustrating at times due to the randomness of the cards, I found it pretty fun
I could not disagree more. I loved it, and I dont care for card games at all. if you're a big metal gear fan, you'll likely love it too.
The turn-based system is the best thing to happen to the metal gear series since MGS1. There's no way to shoot your way through this one. Every single turn has to be meticulously planned out. Strategy rules the game. And I thought I'd hate it.
I could not agree more! 'Tis a big pile-o-poo! Couldn't get into it at all and as above I gave up on it. Was glad to trade it in while it was still worth something. But if you are into the whole card battle thing it might be your thing.
It was not very difficult, it just was no fun. Its just so damn slow and boring. The only difficult parts are when you're stuck with no weapons, and you cant move very far away. And any game when I shoot the hell out of somebody at point-blank range, and I dont get a single hit, and the next turn the enemy shoots the hell out of me and gets all hits, and I cant do anything after that because I have no more weapons == INSTANT FAIL! The game being just plain boring is the icing of the crap cake.
If the replies so far haven't made it clear, AC!D is -very- love or hate. It's...really hard for me to say much other than try to play it before you buy it, to see if it's your thing.
Well I got it.. It is ok.. Not really my type of game. Well I get to return it and it only costs me $2.. I'm going to get a better game...
Well I traded it and since i had gotten it just earlier that day they didn't charge me the $2.. I upgraded ($10 more ($30 total)) for Daxter. Love it!
Must have been wearing ceramic armor... and don't you know how to replay stages (after a certain point) to get more points to buy cards?
