Yeah, that and the fact that it says they are resin prints makes me reluctant to buy.

Resin prints aren't too bad. I have one of those printers and the build quality and detail are decent. Im sure the retailer put in enough work to justify the price but I'm going to pass

Still in awe of this guy's beauty. They somehow managed to get all the beautiful curves and natural articulation out of that gorgeous car mode.

The detail from resin prints is exceptional. What I am concerned about is durability. In my experience resin prints tend to be rather fragile.

I'm tempted to try to make a model of Drift's sword so I can print one myself on my FDM printer, but I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to 3D modeling.

Same, can't model for shit. However, never had durability issues with resin, but you're experience is different than mine

They do allow them to connect to the car mode on the sides, and the bot mode knees, as I showed earlier in the thread. But if you don't care about that then you could cut them off.

So... I've been playing with this guy. I like him a lot, but I can't seem to get him to hold his swords in-hand with the thumb in place? Am I doing this wrong?

Each sword is designated for a specific hand, make sure you're attaching the right one. The thumb also needs to be moved to the side (via balljoint) instead of sitting on top. Other than that, the peg is a little boof in the sense that my swords still pop off. but maybe shaving the peg could help

I love Bayverse bots. Such wildly different designs with a somehow unified aesthetic.

...and the kneeling pose again with a clean background.

I always thought the reason for that was because although they have vastly different designers the same person did all of the greeble detail. I remember watching a BTS on dark of the Moon where the guy who does the details said it's been a challenge but they kept him on for three movies at time I wouldn't be surprised if they kept him for the other two as well

You're talking about the square tabs.
I'm talking about the ones at the end that slope into a point

I enjoy the transformation for mista. It does a lot of different things that I haven't seen before in my almost 30 years of collecting transformers. That's probably why I remember how to do it because it was so unique. That's also probably why you keep hearing such varying stances on its transformation. If you like interesting engineering I would say pick one up. I have the original and I plan on getting the KO because it's only $80 and comes with clear versions of ravage and laser beak along with the painted colored versions. I think it also comes with two guns instead of one.

Oh got it sorry. Those are part of the missile detailing, no? But they would allow for more connection points if they were removed, it would just make it look less like missiles I guess.

Speaking of NA Mista, Haiku has properly molded disk brakes that don't spin with the wheel unlike Mista.
