This guy just posted a way to fix the upper arm joint in his community page, not sure if it'll hold up though. I've heard nothing but warnings about messing with screw joints

Yes Prime and Bee are near each other, Drift is hanging back.

When I said Bee was in the foreground, I also meant Prime, but the debate isn't Prime vs Bee, it's Drift vs Bee.

    Either way, excellent figure!

Idk, It doesn't really stand out that he's farther back, but that's just what I see, hard to tell if theres actually forced perspective. But anyway, I don't think there's a debate really, I'm sure everyone has there own idea of how tall each character should be. Some folks just quoted me with what the issue was with the scale, and I countered with that it's just my own personal take on the character. Besides there's a frame that makes every scenario accurate, so we're all winners in the end.:p  But yeah I agree, Haiku is great figure overall, despite my issues with his size. Going into bot mode is definitely easier than alt mode. Probably just a bit of practice required, I must've spent 30mins trying to get everything to line up and close correctly. Got it in the end, and noticed that he must've been mistransformed out of the box, because he didn't roll great or sit even, upon initially messing with him.

It's always gonna be iffy, but I can fully imagine him being taller than bee, as an "older" or more "mature" bot

If anything Decepticons tend to be bigger in the Bayverse movies with a few exceptions such as Sideways so I’d go with that since he’s a former member of that faction, but he’s also a triple changer so there’s that too.

I don't know if the faction switching is canon in the movies but I actually really like that way of looking at it

It is. Both Drift and Jetfire were once Cons.

Not perfect but you can shove the missiles in there and they hold well and it looks cool:

I get the feeling the little tab on the back of the missiles isn't there for any reason, I've found a few places where i could put the missiles in other modes, but sometimes the tab hinders.
    Thinking of removing it completely

also Wheelie. Back to this figure. I really enjoy how when in vehicle mode if you look under the car the silver arm that has all of the engine detailing on it falls right in line up under where the engine actually is molded on the top of the car. It's like it's actually turning into the engine and I love that sort of thing with engineering. And the way the front hooks up reminds me of a transaxle in the middle. Also finally took a paper clip and pulled up the tail wing. Honestly thought I was going to break it for a while and then it's smoothly slid up after a loud pop. When I push it down all the way I hear the loud pop again so I guess it locks into place.

Is this post directed at me? Well, Drift has 3 modes so I decided that I am going to display him in all of his modes!

This video pretty much says what I think of Drift's chopper mode

It hurts my brain when he calls Drift a "double changer" and then refers to the armor on Drift's thighs as "knee pads".

Yeah, but the general idea that the helicopter mode is made out of exposed car and robot mode parts is what it's highlighted in the video

True, and it's a good point.
Someone (not sure who, too lazy to check) earlier in the thread, said that they usually consider the weaker mode of a triple changer to be a utility mode, and I agree with that sentiment.
I look at Drift's helicopter mode as not a disguise, but simply a mode that allows him to fly. As such it has no need to look like a real helicopter, all it needs to do is serve the utility purpose of being a flight mode.

Also, I have seen a number of posts saying that the heli mode does not hold together well, and I disagree (at least on my copy).
You do need to get the hips/upper-legs positioned just right so that the pegs all line up correctly. But when I get that part right I have found that heli mode holds together fairly solidly.
Some times I have had it work really well and other times not so much. When I figure out the exact correct alignment I will probably post some pics to help others.

Drift motivated me to finally mod my OS BB that I’d mostly forgotten after mpm sort of became the go to size. (I also have a very similar BB at mpm size)
