Y’all think Metagate will do a blitzwing at some point ? I mean I like the zeta one but the transformation and the floppy parts look like a nightmare

 

Doesn’t seem likely. They’re mostly doing triplechangers, and they keep jumping between continuities.

 

I hope so. I have both the BMB and Zeta and neither of them got the head sculpt right (I mean they have their own pros and cons and they do look good but then I see a picture of the 3z and I am reminded how inaccurate they both are.

Still I would prefer if MetaGate covers all triple changers first since nobody else seems to want to do so.

 

I hope that they do, it’s very refreshing instead of another MP G1 product imo. I just hope they do Dropkick as well.

 

They just do whatever characters they like, remember these companies are essentially being ran by fans with the connections and resources to make their dream figures into realities and as such they have complete creative freedom to do their favorite characters from whatever continuity.

 

Having the zeta one and being someone who hates bad transformations, I can tell you the transformation itself is perfectly fine. The problem the zeta one had was one of the arms unscrews itself from being moved around. Otherwise design and transformation was pretty good in it. I doubt another companies attempt would be any more smooth.

Dr Wu did a set of some smaller ones a while back, I ended up buying a few myself and they’re fantastic. They’re roughly a little bit bigger than the size of a pin ball with articulated legs and mouth

 

Not gonna lie I wish Shatter looked more feminine like this concept art, she pretty much has no female characteristics in terms of design in the final movie

 

Idk she has wider hips, thinner legs, waist and arms than most bots, and a more narrow face. Think the design got the point across.

 

Is that not how she looked in the movie? To me the final model has all the female characteristics she had in the concept art, slim waist, angled headlights, wide hips, thin arms...

 

Yeah I felt like Shatter looked feminine enough but without being super overt about. I mean, I wouldn't have minded double Ds and a dump truck (not an alternate mode) but the design gets the feminine aspects across without going overboard.

 

The hips are too spread out in my opinion and the feet are more ugly. Windblade or Arcee are good examples of female bots, you can tell they're supposed to be female just by looking at them but Shatter? I'm not sure how many people would have figured her for a female bot if they hadn't heard her speak or be referred to.

The shoulder issue can be fixed really easy. There's a video on YouTube explaining the process in great detail.

 

Idk about easy, requires quite. a bit of disassembly along with glue. Knowing me I’d probably screw up and glue the shoulder solid.

 

Ahh, female characteristics:
- Having a jet Engine and wings on her back
- Car headlight as a chest
- Having jet nozzle on her knee
- Can triple-change into 1972 Plymouth Satellite and Harrier jump jet.
