MG Shatter would not work too well with the KO, I guess you will have to upgrade to MG Dropkick as well!

The KO masterpiece beast wars megatron had David Kaye’s voice, so it has happened before

Yeah but Paramount is known to be more litigious than I’d wager Mainframe would be to protect a 20 year old IP…

Well it's a direct KO of a figure so not surprising and MP-36-44 KO has it too.

But an entirely original figure unlicensed with Shatter voice? Nah just too much hassle. And it's not even counting how you would put the soundboard inside this complex figure.

The gray area would be hiring Shatter sound alike from Fiverr doing the vaguely non-copyright infringement dialogue like "you die!" or "Where is he?!".

Man, all 3 modes look incredible! I thought Haiku (AOE Drift) was impressive despite the heavily compromised helicopter mode, but this is on another level!

How is Haiku helicopter mode heavily compromised? It was not perfect but still quite accurate to the source material

Haiku captures the general shape, but the details are just weird.

The proportions of the helicopter in general are also pretty off. All things considered though it definitely makes it work. Crazy that a figure can even be that complex.

There's not enough panelling to cover the robot kibble because there was nowhere to get it from, imagine this in reverse where the Bugatti had no doors or hood and you could see everything inside. Because Drift barely has any Bugatti parts on his robot mode and zero helicopter parts as well, there is no way you can possibly get all three modes right without making sacrifices on at least one of them and naturally, the helicopter is the one that makes the most sense for it.

Yeah basically the outer shell of the helicopter is completely missing...You just see a bunch of parts jammed together in the shape of a helicopter

Exactly, its not meant as a "disguised" mode but just a utility mode to get from a to b quicker than driving

But the helicopter mode is made out of robot and car kibble just like in the movie!

So the Samurai armour being visible on the side of Haiku in copter mode is actually accurate to the film? Yeah, I think what we got with that figure is as good as it could have possibly been.

I doubt it's Transcraft because Haiku didn't fall apart in my hands like their Bumblebee did

Yeah. It's likely that all three companies are the same design team, considering it's a known fact that Transcraft is just Unique Toys under a different name. Or was it ToyWorld? I get those two confused.

It was neither. Unique toys never had the problems transcraft did with plastic cracking and having pins be the wrong size, while TW was pretty hard on for keeping its name to the end.

it’s likely it was UT designers, but it was definitely a new company that went belly up due to its poor reception.

I don't really care who is "really" making the figure, as long as it's good.
