Looking for a little advice. When I first transformed mine, I saw a little damage to the wing. Likely from misunderstanding something in the transformation. I asked for a replacement part, and show z delivered. I was given a full replacement torso, as that is clearly the easiest way to replace the damaged part.

However, it didn't come with covers on the tail piece for hinge. Any tips on how I might remove them from my broken one so I can glue it to the new one?

Use hot water and a hobby knife to wiggle the caps & break the glue bond. You may need to completely cut them out of the old piece with a dremmel & a cutting/sanding disc

It might just be better to ask show z for the caps

Finally got my Air King…And I love him!
(My only issues with it is obviously the faces/head could have used more paint apps…and why is the neck joint an unpainted piece?)

But man I am done with getting these figures from TFSource, Took so frigg’n long to get in stock.
….Next time, it’s ShowZ for me!

Judging by what they did with Haiku, they're more likely to retool him into Airazor or smth. I mean, they both fly!

Are there any actual repaints for movie Drift? I honestly don't know since I didn't care enough to follow the designs at all. Even then they did do a red Drift before they remolded it to Bludgeon, I see no reason they wouldn't do the easy Fractyl repaint before they remold to Airrazor.

Tempted to bite the bullet on this guy to bolster my Predacon ranks in the MP department despite my issues with it. One question I have though, is his "helmet" and face one entire piece? Like how hard would it be for someone to paint the inner parts without messing up his white face? Can you just take it apart somehow?

I don't have this guy because I am in the same boat (he doesn't look MP enough, etc), but based off the images on the first page it looks like his face is swappable (image credit goes to Metagate):

The face is swapable. You can fully take the face out to paint it.

Also, despite there being some visual issues with the figure if you are looking for accuracy, the engineering is probably the best we've ever seen in Beast Wars, period.

His face comes off, but the helmet cannot be removed from the face. I've often thought of painting the inside of the helmet myself, but it's really close to the face and I'm afraid to screw it up.

I will admit my painting ability is 0 or lower so think carefully before acting on my advice, but I think it might be best to paint the inside brim red without worrying too much about the face other than the eyes and then just repainting the face white as needed. Of course white over red is much harder than red over white.

I wound up getting a new head entirely from someone on Taobao and it turns the figure from a "meh" to me to an A+.

When viewed from the side, the custom head actually makes a world of difference. See below: the first image is Metagate's head, and it looks like his lower face was literally smashed into his helmet. The second image is the custom head, and it looks to be more accurate to the source material, which is the third image.

Yeah the custom head is better, but from "meh" to A+??? For that matter, just buy the head and put it on a mainline figure

Respectfully, are you suggesting someone buy the custom head and place it on Kingdom deluxe class Terrorsaur???? If so, that would essentially turn him into a Funko Pop figure, as the head is intended for a Masterpiece-scale figure--specifically, for Metagate's Air King. I don't mean to start an argument; my prior post was simply to point out that Air King has a derpy head, and it's inexcusable for a figure that costs over $100 USD.

EDIT: Upon further review of the figure, I am now in agreement with Biomec. Air King has 2 swappable faces, and these alternate faces sit flush with his red "helmet." Given this, there appears to be very little gain in purchasing the custom head for Air King. Although I still feel that Air King does not have the same aesthetic as the official MP Beast Wars figures, I feel more inclined to purchase this figure for my Beast Wars shelf.
