Unfortunately might be joining you in that boat. The head and face are the only things preventing me from pulling the trigger but I REALLY want him, he was my third favorite character

 

Just had my hands on mine.
First thing to note is that both eyes in alt-mode looks off to the side. Looks a bit weird, like he's looking at an Autobot underneath him to the left.
Some things are a bit tight, some things bit tight. The legs have to be very specific in order to tab everything together in alt-mode in a way that doesn't put pressure on the tabs, because they'll just come undone in most cases.

He looks great in both modes though, very happy I got him.

 

I'm pretty sure someone mentioned the eyes in beast mode can move.

 

As Emgo discovered, the eyes in alt-mode are movable, like MP-43

 

Still getting no updates on shipping. Just says "The order information has been sent". I've actually had this happen to me where all the information just pops in the day before, or even the day it's delivered, but it's pretty frustrating. I want updates!

 

Can anyone with the figure in-hand measure the beast mode wingspan?

 

Yeah, just had someone else tell me as well.
I tried using a spudger before but didn't budge, I'll try again next time.

 

Looks to be about 28cm from tip to tip.

 

Just got this in today, and took a quick look, and WOW this thing is amazing, even better then Takara MP BW figures.
I hope they tackle Rhinox and Ratrap.
Do no sleep on this figure, and get one before its sold out.

 

An MP scale/engineering Rhinox would be AMAZING!!!

It takes a lot of holding my breath and very delicate touches but I think it looks pretty good. That paint color might even be a better match for the darker metallic helmet red then what they used on the face to begin with! After this photo I went back and repainted over all of the red

 

I appreciate Metagate for what they did but LMAO this is not better than the Takara BW MPs. Not even close.

Yeah I don't know I haven't been super impressed with a quality of Optimus primal MP and this seems leagues above that

 

You're exactly right about the colors but the (slightly) annoying part is that this isn't what Takara does.

TT puts metallic on the bot-mode only parts and the beast parts and shared parts are in matte paint.

I don't really care so much - but the Metagate Terrorsaur paint job definitely doesn't blend in with BWMPs as well as it could.

 

Agreed. I respect his opinion but NO way! Metagates design is true perfection compared to any of the MP figures out out by hasbro/Takara. I’d say 3rd party is overall better than any official figure at this point.

 

You mean hypothetically if TT were to do a Terrorsaur or are you talking about an existing figure? I think TT knocked every single BW MP out of the park so far and don’t really see any problems with their paint choices. Metallic robot parts with matte or textured beast parts just like on the show.

 

Ok I actually forgot about that because they somehow did decent with the Kingdom one. Fair point haha.

 

So the neck transformation into dynamode is absolutely terrifying, I ended up using a hobby knife to shave down the green highlighted areas just a little bit so that the silver flap can open just a tiny bit more and it makes the whole process so much better and less prone to breakage in my opinion, I highly recommend doing this
