Yep…definitely gonna need to touch-up this figure with paint/gundam marker when I eventually get him!

 

First thing I'm going to do I think this is going to be a close enough match, even if it's a little darker it'll almost look like it's in shadow

 

Don't worry. They'll fix this on the reissue. Leave those of us who bought the first release screwed.

His neck is the same darker grey used in the rest of his colour scheme in the show. His collar area is also dark grey but painting it that colour on G04 looks like that would definitely subtract from beast mode, it's a shame the shoulder cannons cannot be placed on the collar bone sideways in their non-firing position to complete his look.

edit: the shoulder cannons are on ball joints so it's possible to position them in non-firing mode when they look like they were inspired by the hinges that allow the tail to fold on the original Beast Wars basic toy. They look a bit big though so I'm not sure if it will work exactly and they always have the cannons looking fully extended cause that's how they are cast so it's not perfect. If it doesn't look great I might make some scratch neutral position shoulder cannons.

Yup, metallic in robot mode and matte in beast mode. It’s impossible to get the deco right in both modes so prioritizing the robot mode makes sense.

Just posting this from Benscollectables, it seems both he and Emgo had issues with the beast neck area, but neither had proper instructions... so hopefully there's some other way, rather than forcing plastic over plastic.

My own order was sent by them on the 11th and it's status updated today and has 'Departed Facility In processing center'. I hope that means it won't get stalled by the holiday but if it does get delayed what the hell, I can't judge I just got back from enjoying my own 2 week vacation haha.

Just got him… paint wise is fantastic. As good as haiku (drift) but doesnt impress as much as haiku though.

joints are good except waist kind of loose.
