Thunder Machine is very un-Sundwave but...i love Soundwave and i love the Thunder Machine so...has my interest.

Okay, well, I skipped the first two Joeformers, but I’d snap this up in a second. Heck, if it turns into a Thunder Machine that fits modern era 4” figures better than the vintage one, I’d probably even get two… one to just use as a modern Thunder Machine.

 

Multiple figures? I hope it isn't a Haslab. I wish it were Zandar and Zarana instead of another Zartan. Hoping maybe it was a transcription error. If not, that girl on Hisstank who's the big Zandar fan will be justifiably upset.

Maybe so, but I'm thinking that in this context, while Rodimus showed that Commander guys didn't have to be huge, it was Motormaster that really got the ball rolling thanks to his trailer providing the skeleton (and BFG) for Menasor while Rodimus just had a comparatively simpler trailer with a BFG.

Basically, Rodimus walked so Motormaster could fly (or drive faster).

Is it weird that I want a hypothetical Armada Nemesis Prime to be sold via Selects and without his trailer, if only so we can give our wallets some rest? (Actually, Armada Nemesis Prime never even had a trailer, right?)

So Soundwave turns into this?

Trooper 2 was Optimus, wasn't it? Because Megatron was Trooper 1? Could it be that they felt they needed to go back to the drawing board? I remember reading that a lot of these new TFxGI Joe collabs are a bit of a mixed bag. (Might be speaking generously, though.)

Even if it\s kind jank like BB and Megatron, I will buy it solely because its MAH BOI soundwave. Here's hoping it's actually good, or at least better than the last two.

What a strange choice, but I guess neither Megatron nor 'Bee made much sense either so why not? If nothing else, using the TM will at least give Soundwave a shot at being mostly the right color!

I canceled my 'Bee preorder because I was never a big fan of the AWE Striker to begin with and Megatron showed me the toy itself isn't especially great. But I'll snag this.

Also, I think this would see an even bigger buy-in from the Joe community because complete Thunder Machines can be a bit expensive since it's never been reissued (unlike the HISS and AWE). This could just be a great gap filler in their collections.

 

I am here for this. Give me all the JoeXTransformers

 

Oh wow! I loved that one as a kid. Maybe I’d be all over this one. Does this mean I do need to pick up Bumblebee? I’d been in the fence but leaning away.

 

I mean, with Megatron and Bumblebee having already been done, Soundwave, Starscream, and Prime are the remaining recognizable/“big” characters to use for the TF side of this.

And honestly, I think Soundwave works here. The Dreadnoks are basically the human equivalent of Rumble and Frenzy.
