Straxus/Darkmount looks great - shame he isn't a voyager (I actually didn't realise he was just a deluxe). His gun emplacement mode actually looks a little more like his flying-tank mode from the comic, IMO, which is cool - maybe with some mods it could actually become a convincing version of it.

Oh, that makes sense, although "Lord Darkmount" would have been better.

    Man, this looks nice...

Is it possible to fan-mode him into a "Flying Canon" mode?

I was thinking the exact same thing. "Spare me the details, Straxus!"

I still can't believe Hasbro made this character, so awesome!

At Botcon, I believe at least one of the Hasbro guys referred to him as "Straxus of Darkmount", if it helps. :D

Looks nice, I'll have to pick him up. The fact the "third" mode can be used as a turret for scouts is an added bonus.

Also, for anybody curious, "Darkmount" was the place Straxus operated out of in the Marvel comics, so kudos to Hasbro for finding a new name that was still very Straxus-related.

I figured out his weapon storage and took a bunch more pics. I'll add them to the first post.

Dude thanks ! The weapon storage was annoying me for and hour and a half.
The rifle mode for the axe is pretty clever, I didn't even think of that:bowdown:

I recently discovered if you seperate the 2 axe peices you can use the blade for a boomerang
And the tank barrel as a melee club or mace!

Just received my Darkmount/Straxus. It's an awesome figure. I couldnt figure out how the storage worked for the pickaxe, I even tried the one suggested by the op, but I figured by just plugging the axe piece in his butt, it'll be more stable. Plus he has some cool blades on his waist/legs I guess.

He has triforce pieces everywhere. He really is a nice figure to display.

So far the two Darkmounts I've seen both have a stress mark on what would be the crotch plate where the pin connection would be.

    Anyone else see this often?

Excellent toy. Probably my favorite of Generations, maybe even the whole year.

Nabbed him yesterday alongside WFC Megatron, Straxus here being the one of the two I was most anticipating.

Really great figure, love the alt mode, the clip on weapons, his robot mode looks so damn cool, awesome head sculpt. He just has a couple loose joint issues that keep him from being perfect. As such I think WFC Megs won over in the end, sadly. Drift is still top of the line for me though.

Opened this figure yesterday, and spent a few hours just re-posing and fiddling with the transformation.
Really, one of the most characterful figures released.
I think my only dislike is the position of the 'handles' in bot mode. As knees, they're kind of obtrusive.
    Otherwise, a truly great figure.
