I've been hearing about that the Mercedes E550 is the Einstein Bot. Could be Wheeljack, but people are dissing it. Let me put it this way you guys, If they say it's Wheeljack we can't change it and lets be thankful he's in it no matter what he looks like.

I'm ashamed in all of you, Look at Jetfire, he is an old man with a beard. If you don't what Wheeljack as this car/robot then who(please post who you want this robot to be and don't say Kup or Perceptor)? If they say it's Wheeljack you've all got exactly what you've wanted, Wheeljack in the third movie and don't you forget it.

I voted that I hope it's Wheeljack, but it wouldn't bother me if it was Perceptor. Why can't we mention Perceptor in this thread? Why would it be so bad if the Mercedes was Perceptor?

The reason why we can't state we want the Mercedes bot to be Perceptor or Kup because Nelson from Bay's site said they supposedly shot down those names as possibilities.

Why must every character in the movies be a pre-existing character? A lot of them are totally differnet characters (albeit with pre-existing names, but they use them differently) and they work perfectly fine. I loved Jetfire, but aside from being named Jetfire he's nothing like any Jetfire that came before. He's a new character. If it is named Wheeljack what's the big deal? It's just a name.

 

The difference here is that Wheeljack is a beloved character who hasn't seen that much use yet, and who would actually work really well in the movies. To make him an Einstein bot seems like a waste of a kickass character, at least in my opinion.

 

Anyone, but muthafucka Wheeljack, please!

I hope it's a new character. They just never seem to capture what I like about the characters so they all seem like in name only to me. At least with new characters there is no expectations so there is free reign to do what they want.

Kind of sad but out of all the movie characters Dispensor has been my favorite.

Also the geezer bots so far have been seekers and I just don't see Wheeljack as being one of the seekers. A younger bot that hasn't learned from the mistakes of his experiments seems to fit Wheeljack better.

Actually I haven't been wanting characters I know. If it's Decepticons the fear is they will just show up for Prime or Bumblebee to kill, so if Blitzwing doesn't show up they can't kill him. With Autobots I feel like what's the point if they are nothing like the old characters or if they just background characters with only a line or two.

 

To paraphrase Matt Tieger, there are literally hundreds of established characters, dozens of which are established fan favorites, so why go around creating new ones?

 

I'd like Wheeljack. I think his design fits with the hair thing in the right place and the 'stache kind of mimicing his mouth.

I hope its not wheeljack but the only other character i can think of is Alpha trion, but he didn't transform into anything in most of his appearances in the main continuity nor did he travel to earth so its hard to see it being him. I just hope that face we saw was just an early design, and he's been given or will receive further revisions like Megatron and Jetfire both got during post production.
