looks like the european release by GiG. They even had that logo on their old Diaclone and Microman releases, I believe. They were the ones that released Transformers in Europe with Hasbro. It's kind like how Sonokong is releasing stuff in Korea, licensed from Takara.

    Anyway, I'm 95% sure it's official, so don't worry.

Well, I can tell you that the writing on the box is not in English so it isn't the original US version for certain.

By the way, in the upper right corner, it isn't Transformers, its Trasformer.

From here, the rub symbols look real enough. All the KOs I own and have seen never have those things, just horrible facsimiles, but that's just my observation. Ask the seller some questions like "where did you acquire this set?". If he's fairly reputable and good seller, he'll most likely tell you. Good luck!

    That's because it's NOT a KO. It's an original G1 Euro Release.

Huh? I think you are misreading what he wrote. the box says traSformer ( no "n" ) I saw this too and opted not to bid on it b/c of my ( apparently unfounded) skepticism.

It's an Italian release by GiG.

GiG originally had the Diaclone license from Takara, so when Hasbro launched Transformers in the US, GiG noticed their success and tried to cash in by releasing Diaclone molds in Transformers colors (yellow Sunstreaker, red Ironhide) but in Diaclone-esque without having to pay royalties to Hasbro. They even called them "Trasformer".

Hasbro soon cracked down on them and made them release Transformers properly (in Hasbro-esque packaging and with the official "Transformers" logo, but with Italian names, such as Grimlock = "Tiran"). However, the GiG packaging retained a small version of the "Trasformer" logo.

Hasbro continued releasing Transformers toys through GiG all the way through Generation 2, but eventually, they ever bought out GiG or ditched them and took over releasing Transformers toys in Italy all on their own (dropping the Italian names and just including Italian among the many languages featured on European Hasbro TF packaging).
