What is a good 3rd party megatron that transforms into a gun and scale with Voyager earthrise optimus and chug?

A good place to ask would be the knockoff thread in the TF Third party discussion

Slightly smaller than voyager is the nbk megatron. I imagine it would work well with sieges new smaller figures. Not sure how easy it would be to find now.

    NBK Combiner Wars (cartoon) Megatron

Where'd this notion that Siege figures are smaller than Hasbro's previous stuff come from (aside from the fact that some figures are meant to be smaller because of scale)?

Siege Prime is the same height to the head as both the original Classics Prime and the Titans Return Prime. Combiner Wars Prime is bigger, but that's a case of that figure being usually big, not the others being unusally small.

Siege Deluxe Barricade and some of the other Siege Deluxes are very similar in height to the old Classics Starscream, and only slightly shorter than a Power of the Primes Deluxe. But on the flip side, Siege also has larger Deluxes like Ratchet, Ironhide, and Impactor are bigger than the older Deluxes.

I think you can make the case that Siege's Leader-class figures are smaller, but that's because they seem to be Voyager-class figures with more and bigger accessories than your standard Voyager instead of actually being larger figures.

Toyworld Hegemon if you want a G1 aesthetic and something that's about the same size as ER Prime.

If you want Megatron to be a little bigger than ER Prime, or something that's the same size as KBB's Voyager-ish MP-10 KO, you'll have to go with the much-more stylized Maketoys Rioter Despotron (which is still an awesome figure).

If you're willing to go for a Megatron that doesn't turn into a gun, there's MMC's Tyrantron and Megasteel's Granville you can check out. Both are based on IDW Comics designs, MMC's is based on Alex Milne's design for More Than Meets the Eye and Granville is based on Don Figueroa's design for Stormbringer.

There is none. They are all going to be too big. Hegemon is closest but he's dated, and frankly inferior to the Siege version of Megatron. He does transform into a gun though.

    Okay...
Barricade is obviously shorter than PW deluxes and even than the exceptionally short classic seeker mold, as are most of the wfc deluxes with the sole exceptions of the Ironhide and Hoist molds.
Megatron and Optimus are the ONLY wfc voyagers who come close to the size of the smallest PW voyagers. All the other wfc voyagers and indeed Shockwave-style leaders are very obviously shorter than all of the PW voyagers.
CW Optimus was exceptionally big for a voyager, but the true exceptions were classics Optimus and the TR voyager Optimus mold who were remarkably shorter than most PW voyagers.

In a few weeks I might have to pompously start a post with the words "Where does this notion that wfc figures aren't smaller than PW figures come from?"
The answer will be: from this biased post of yours.

Stop being an apologist and admit that siege was a downgrade of generations in terms of quality.
Earthrise is a lot better at least in some aspects, but undeniably on average figures are still smaller than PW figures.
And if there are figures like Hoist and Ratchet who are actually bigger than PW deluxes because of Hasbro's "scale-adherence as long as it suits us" their exceptions are no argument.
