It is indeed out today, as I found it at the local comic book shop. Mixed feelings on it, as we've seen with the rest of the issues. Again, there's so much going on in some of the cells that you can't really get a clear idea of what is going on. The ending is predictable, of course, but they did it in a convincing way. Some positives....

    - I demand a figure of this version of Sentinel Prime w/ Armor. Wow.
    - Any of the "enlarged" cells featuring Sentinel Prime were a thing of beauty, such as the first shot of him with his armor or the shot of him hovering over the Decepticons. Wow.
    - We find out how and why Ratbat becomes a cassette
    - The last page sort of had a reverse-TFTM '86 feel to it. Decepticons crowding around leader in ruined city, as opposed to Autobots crowding around leader in ruined city. Not sure if that was intended, but nice scene regardless.

Still looking for this issue, but...

Yes please. And a Megatron, too. I mean, we've gotten DW WW toys, and we say Classic's Jetfire first in Stormbringer, so I'd say it isn't a huge reach to give us a Megatron figure, based on his cybertronian tank form, especially now that it has been featured in SO many IDW publications. With Sentinal Prime being a fan favorite, and popping up in Animated, an IDWverse Sentinal Prime would surely be appreciated...

With no Alts, no Tits, no Classics, and MPs being so slow to release...hardcore collector money is waiting to be tapped!

I love Starscream's reaction to the charges brought against him. Classic smug 'Screamer.

*Anyone else note the Straxus cameo on page 3, panel 4?
*The origin of Megatron's infamous cannon, a gift from Starscream!? Genius!
    *Inferno and Grapple FTW.
*"Apex" Armor, eh? Nice lil easter egg.
*Soundwave practically raped Ratbat into taking cassette form, no?
*End of a great serious. To me, worthy of what made Megatron. Now if we could only see how it was Optimus became Prime, and fill in that little gap.

Ratbat: owned. Love it. And thanks to Devastation #1 we know he survived, and at this point in better shape than Soundwave!

Too bad this shipped so late that the two appearances were in reverse order than intended.

I so wish it was 6 issues. It needed to be a little longer of a story. But it was great.

Should I bump the easter egg hunt thread again? Just asking since it's been so long.

Anyway great issue. Ratbat being the cause of the war due to his greed is great. Also Megatron using Ratbat's resources to fund his army was nice as well. Ratbat wanted power, he got killed and stuck in a cassette.

The best of the series. I loved the big political aspect of this series and when Megatron finishes Sentinel Prime? Classic.

Forgot to say, big thumbs up on the artwork from Milne! That Apex armor Sentinal Prime shot was the sickness. He is definitely one of the top TF artists for me.

I liked the art, but really think it could have been colored better.

I have no idea what the hell happened in half of the scenes, but some of the explosions looked cool. Overall the colorist(s) ruined the issue (and series) for me. There is a splash page with badass Sentinel Prime pencils, that looks like it was colored with dark mud, obscuring alot of the detail.

Was the Sentinel Prime Apex armor based at all on Dai Atlas? With the wings and the tank treads, either him or Star Convoy are referenced here.

Just watched Zone last night for the first time, which is where I get the thought.

Generally a good effort (tough enough to make IDW staff ill) but I agree that it should have been stretched out more so that we could see the events more clearly. So much detail! So many crowded scenes! It was a bit like some issues of 'The Underbase Saga' (Marvel Transformers G1, late 1980s), where the artist had to cram in several dozen characters and then kill most of them off.

have you seen the image of this page online? can you make out the details better? cause when i look at this page in the comic, it much darker then it should be. i know that we lighten up the colors, but it still came out too dark.

    Yeah, That's what I thought.

Doesn't he still have to pass on the matrix of leadership to Optimus or Alpha Trion?
