can anyone suggest a megatron toy suitable for my son? He's 4. He digs his Rescue bots (and the fact he can transform them easily) and we have a few titans return figures we play both with, though I handle the transformation on most of those. We are watching the old G1 cartoon and he wants a megatron - as we are fairly low on deceptions in the household.

Any ideas from any toy line out there?

    Thanks

Seconded. I think he goes for a pretty penny on eBay. There were some online stores selling sets, but I don't even know what to search for on that one.

There the AOE One step changer. It's based off his ROTF design.

Theres animated Activators Megatron, it's pretty small but it mifht work with Rescuebots.

Then theres also the Cyber Battlion Megatron. It's about voyager sized and is decently simple.

    (Not my pictures BTW.)
If he could handle that Megatrob I'd suggest getting the other CB figures.

The Legends Megatron with Chop Shop or the Thrilling Thirty Stealth Bomber Megatron are both fairly uncomplicated. Not sure how expensive they'd be to acquire though.

I second the cyber battalion Megatron. He's easy to work with, but it's still pretty cool looking.

Maybe the Legends class RTS Megatron? If the old cartoon is what's gotten him interested in Megatron, that's maybe the simplest toy of him that's based on the G1 design.

The nice thing about 4 years old is that the eating small parts stage is basically passed. I keep looking at those war in pocket transformers and thinking how affordable it would be to build a neat little G1 collection. They seem sort of durable

Their price is a bit much though.

Maybe show your son the movie and get him a TR Galvatron.

Just get the kid MPP10 and the WeiJang Megatron. Why mess around? Those toys are tough and are very cheap and impressive. He will love them very much

If you're both into Titans Return, there's a new voyager class Megatron coming out right about now.

Animated leader class megatron - has a cool sound bite, chunky, durable and relatively easy transform. My lad is 6 now, had it since he was 4 and he still loves it.

Yup, Animated Leader class Megatron! It's something I reckon an enthusiastic 4 year old can get to grips with.

Maybe the oversized KO of the legends tank Megatron? It's silver so it looks closer to the G1 Megatron from the cartoon and not being a gun is a plus if you ask me.
