We never see Megatron walk again after his epic battle with Prime. Do you think the last knockout blow disabled the Con leader from the waist down? Or perhaps the fall crush his hip joints. Soundwave has to carry him into Astrotrain. He is also thrown out and not pushed out by Starscream like the other beaten Cons. He is floating in space after that where he would no longer need the use of his legs.
He was certainly crippled after both Prime and Starscream beat him. Had he made it back to Cybertron, I'm sure he coulda bin repaired. Makes me think in the show, was he ever shown as damaged other than the cosmic rust infection!
I don't think it was just his legs. It seemed like he was just... broken. Completely broken. Which is weird since he seemed to still have enough strength to dig his hands into Unicron later?
I always thought he was just damaged and beaten up from fighting Prime. But he could have fallen on his spine (or cybertronian equivalent) so he couldn't use his legs.
I assumed that he was damaged exactly how you explained. Everything on him was so damaged that he barely had enough juice to speak. The fall had to have taken out his ability to walk I don't see him asking for help from Soundwave otherwise.
I always felt he could have beaten Optimus had Barrage not mortally wounded him in order to claim leadership of the Decepticons with Shockwaves support. A thread for Headcannon does exist, but this is not it. I think he just coudn't stand anymore because the wounds his body has sustained where so severe he could barely stay online, not because of any particular wounds affecting the use of his legs.
I guess I never thought too much about it, since many G1 characters came back from much more serious injuries, even within that same movie.
Dude, he was tired af, I mean, he fought a battle that lasted a whole day for 24 hours, and had to deal with prime, I think it was everything, I think he wasn't crushed, he was weak and vulnerable when prime gave him the final blow.
It's my belief that he like Optimus took a hell of a beating, his systems were drained and he was hella damaged. He likely could have been repaired but it would have taken along time and a lot of spare parts. He was disabled and unable to fight evidenced by the fact he could offer no resistance when Starscream threw him out of Astrotrain. It likely took all the strength he could muster to grab on to Unicron before he made the deal which remade him into Galvatron. Mind being in space with zero gravity helped him.
Yep, me too. Plus like the Smirker said: he had fought a heavy battle and after fighting Prime he was just outta juice, not cripppled. .@ JLvatron: Neither do i, but i didnt see him getting beaten by Starscream either
I don't think that was him having the strength to do that, I think that was just Unicron's voice being so powerful it sent Megatron flying at speeds fast enough to penetrate Unicron's not-so tough armor with his somewhat sharp mechanical fingers.
