    Back with another commissioned Custom Combiner Wars figure. Thia time we have Decepticon Leader Megatron! Was a bit skeptical at 1st, wasnt sure how it was going to turn out. But in the end i surprised myself and the customer Loved it!

    Also shown in the next post is a Custom DotM Crankcase that was made to go along with Megatron.

    That is nice! I have plans for that mold too, whenever I get around to it. I never thought of Megatron. Very nice.

    Love the idea and execution on all of it, except the head.

    Getting the mouth right on something that small can be tricky for sure. It seems like the detailing got lost with the paint.

    Now THIS is how youd do a true custom/repaint.

    This is so gorgeous and refreshing (and inspiring) after seeing the enormous volume of chaff and acrylic + brushstrokes "repaints" that saturate the TF subreddit.

    Would be spectacular if you'd repost/share this in r/Transformers with technique methods to help others follow in your footsteps.

    I had already made a Barricade for the client. Trying to convince him we need 2 more :) 

    Ya, it was what the customer had gotten off shapeways for me to use. Deeper detail would have neen nice. The mouth was pretty much not there :/
    Thanks! Took a bit of planning and redoing mockups before the final version
    Have done a barricade for the customer, trying to see about 2 others to complete the combiner!
    No prob! I take LOTS of pics thru the process of all my figs

    Yea, unfortunately the copy the customer got from shapeways didnt have the best detail
