Yeah, looks like the top of this Megs' head is only gonna be about to Orion's shoulders. Still, fuckin' awesome. Do want.

The second design is by far the best. I like the first one quite a bit too though. The 3rd one looks pretty terrible. Trying way too hard to be movie styled and the head looks derpy.

Matching height or a bit shorter is fine for me. He will definitely be going opposite Orion.

Choice of helmet please! Black or silver, just make it like Hexatron where there is a base head with 2 helmets you can swap out depending on your preference.

As far as the size goes, I think we're all going to have to accept that Orion is an oddity as far as 3P leaders go.

He's quite pleasant looking- I think the best design around at the moment is the one in the mobile phone game though.

I really hope there's an alternate head made for this. The more short, boxy shape, and older disgruntled face really make the design stand out, and it's not present on the prototype.

This. The MTMTE Megatron, cool as it is, wasn't around long enough ago to be the design for the Leader toy.

He has pistols now. I imagine part of his deal to avoid execution or a lengthy prison term is that he gives up the fusion cannon, but we'll probably hear more about it in the next couple issues of MTMTE. Megatron becoming an Autobot and keeping his fusion cannon is like Darth Vader switching back to the light side (and, y'know, not dying) but asking the Rebels to let him keep the Death Star II.

The 3rd one, movie-styled? You must be smoking something bad. 3rd one is far from "Bayformer"-like, and the head's not really much different than the 2nd one. I like the 3rd a lot, a nice tweak on the 2nd.

The proportions almost makes me think of the Titanium War Within figure. Just looks a bit awkward. Also, clever of them to get pics of this out and get people interested before the leader class is revealed.

Wait you mean this thing will not be as tall as Hegemon at the least??

If this were mp-10 sized, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Voyager size does nothing. There are hundreds of classics Megs available.

    Hundreds..?

I'm actually glad this is voyager. I'd rather have a gun Megs for mp treatment.

Three molds last I checked, and all have something to be desired.

    1. Classic Voyager - he's a Nerf gun.
    2. Classic Deluze - Too small spindley tank.
    3. GDO - He's a skeletal remold of a movie figure.
    4. Stealth bomber - He's barely a Deluxe.

I won't even talk about the Legends and Commander toys seriously for your Classic Megatron.

Also, that upcoming "Leader Class" Generations Megatron might end up pretty close to MP scale. You should look at it

I'm down for Megatron, but I'm more curious to see if this mold can be used as any other character. I know Tarn was a tank but has a very different layout of parts into bot mode. The other one that comes to mind is Turmoil, but I think it's the same issue, not much similar in bot mode.

Did any other character where Megatron's body in the comics the way that Dreadwing did his stealth jet body?

The Fallen from Dreamwave is veeeeery similar in bot mode, same transformation near enough, and would end up with a cannon on both arms.
