Oh Capcom, why must you torture us so with cancelled Megaman game after cancelled Megaman game, only to finally answer our prayers with...an App game that's so bland, fans replicated it in less than a day. I thought I'd share this knowing we got some fans of the Blue Bomber here, Cutstuff.net – Mega Man 8-bit Deathmatch Home » About MM8BDM Basically this is an online and offline fan-made Megaman FPS. Plays just like classic DOOM and is very easy to learn. I just started playing today and keep getting 2nd or 3rd in matches. Not bad for somebody who didn't even check the tutorial yet (I should really figure out how to use Rush). But while you're at it, check out all the options in the game (there a loads of them!). Heck, just for character creation alone, you can choose from tons of different characters. Be sure to hit the options and go through the controller setup for all the categories (keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc.) so you can get the controls functioning the way you're used to. Also, don't forget to enable weapon switching upon pickup (because switching them can get annoying. your enemy players move fast and switch weapons even faster!). You can join a match or host your own, with plenty of game settings to choose from (deathmatch, Team DM, Capture the flag, last man standing, etc.) I play under the name "I'm New Here" because well, I just started playing this today. But I can always change that name...eventually. Hope to see you there!
I downloaded the latest version from the website, so it may be different/more up to date from when you tried it. On the start screen, select "Multiplayer" Then select "Browse Servers" Then select "Internal Browser" Then select "Refresh" Select a room you want to join with [Enter] and then move the select arrow all the way down to "Join Room" That's how I do it. I just checked, at least 3 rooms are open but no one is in them. When I played this afternoon (3-4 p.m. EST), there were at least 20+ people on, with 5-7 players in each room.
