I eargerly await the darkened over-detailed costume, grim-visaged lead actor, blaring hollywood orchestral music, and pseudo-philosophical dialogue about heroics or the world at large. ... I'm saying this to hopefully jinx things so it's not any of the above, you see. Wait, would that also jinx it back? BTW, they couldn't have picked a worse image for the article. It's not like Mega Man's an obscured niche property. There exists better headline material.
Honestly I have higher hopes for the Borderlands movie. This is hollywood, so lets look at all the ways this can go wrong If we are really lucky we might end up with something like this I think they should just do a CGI animated movie though in the Big Hero 6 vein. While I enjoyed the new Planet of the Apes movies, I don't that tone would work in a Megaman series unless it's about the X or Zero series. Personally, I think the best series to turn into movies for all ages kind of thing would be Legends. However, I still am cautiously hopeful this could be good.
Wow that was unexpected for Mega Man to had he's own movie. Hope he and the Robot Masters got Iron Man's type of designs.

what I can't understand is why Fox? FOX?!! Who pretty much has the Fantastic 4 lisence hijacked and had announced they'll make a sequel to one of the worst films (if not the worst) of 2015. Does Capcom really want to see Mega Man held as Marvel is going through with F4? Why do VG companies want to make live action versions of their video games in film form when they all had been disasters? The Marios Bros, all the Resident Evil films, Silent Hills, Bloodraine, Alone in the Dark, Street Fighter, Pixels - the list just keep pilling. I don't look forward for Sony's Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which it will be Live action and produced by one of the producers from the Fast and the Furious films.We hadn't heard from that one in a year now. Mind you, who ever plays Mega Man, would have to be fairly young (mid to late teens). I can't get Capcom's move on this one, they have a nice rebound in the year, the announce they'll be remaking RE2 with fan sugestions and they announced a Mega Man animated series made by the people of Ben 10 and Generator Rex. Only one has been a success and that's Wreck It Ralph, the vg film equivalint of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. Something like Mega Man (and Sonic as well) should go animated, and after the success of Big Hero 6, it would be awesome to have the formula of Mega Man following BH6 foot steps (be Pixar or Disney).
I don't see why he would have to be in his teens there have been several versions of an older Megaman they could always flash back to the kid version.
