Gonna buy this Bad Boy for sure. I can't wait to see what they do with Bumblebee. I wonder how tall he will be. I don't think 18". Perhaps 12". I wonder if they will do a 24" Unicron

This looks really good. I don't usually put a lot of weight on prototype pictures, but the MAS prototypes are pretty close to the finished product. Soundwave's chest cavity looks empty, and a rough guess of Laserbeak's proportions look like he could transform (or at least, fold down) and slot into the chest. It would be a great gimmick.

YAAASSSS. I’m really loving this line.

Maybe they can do transforming cassettes since they’re more “accessories” than anything and they’re so simple.

Dammit - Soundwave at 18". So it looks like the MAS figures will all be the same size and not in scale.

Soundwave is looking beautiful. Wonder if the next one after him will be an Autobot? With Soundwave, it's going to be 3 bad guys against Prime. Don't like those odds. LOL ;)

Hmmm, that would be quite disappointing, IMO, especially when there is no reason at all for them to do that.

Not sure I need an entire collection of these things but they certainly are gorgeous. I wish I could afford them (and had the space for them) because I saw Optimus in person and played with him a bit, and he's absolutely fantastic.

I don’t need a whole line of these guys, but Soundwave hits the spot. If he shelf warms up a bit—or I don’t get FansToys’ Hydra, I’ll probably get this figure.

Grimlock would likely also be a sale, design depending. Sixshot and Slipstream would also be cool, but I’m not holding out hope for either of those anytime soon! :lol

Anyone know a rough timeframe when this absolute unit would come out? How soon after his offical reveal did the MAS Megatron come out?

Well I’m not sure of when he was officially revealed, but I saw that I preordered Megs from BBTS on August 1 of last year. Granted he was originally supposed to hit in December, but didn’t make it out at all until June and didn’t make it to me until July.

I’d say we’d be lucky if we got Soundwave in under a year. But maybe TA has their system down and knows what they’re doing a bit better to speed the process up.

Excellent. Megatron was well worth the wait. In fact, it was nice to hold off for something significant (even as much as he was delayed), with the bombardment of other Generations figures we typically experience.

Prime and Megatron are great centerpieces for a G1 collection, and GI Joes look to scale and amazing (e.g. Snake Eyes with Prime; Cobra Commander with Megatron).

Given the blocky, 18" size, so far the characters chosen make sense... but who is popular enough and will counterbalance on the Autobot side next?

    -Blaster?
    -Ultra Magnus?

Idea: Make reduced size (in scale with the other MAS figures) bots and start adding GI Joe scaled G1 human companions... like the Marissa Fairborn and non-transforming Afterburner exclusive. Or the Jetfire, Hound, Powerglide, and Starscream GI Joe SDCC redecos with figures.

Anyone want to buy a slightly used kidney or a heavily abused liver so I can afford this? I love Soundwave...

I'd love to see Bumblebee next. If they want to keep this big size class maybe they can try Starscream or Shockwave, or for Autobots perhaps someone like Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime?

I'd love to pick up this Soundwave and convert it into an actual playable tape-player.
