This really stinks. I held off on the MAS Optimus and Megatron figures because I was waiting to get Soundwave first before jumping into a new line. This Soundwave and Laserbeak set looked to be the best so far.

I don't know the details of licensing but it's a shame that Toys Alliance can't produce this awesome set because of their license expiring. Meanwhile, 3P and KO companies run rampant, producing whatever they want, in direct competition with HasTak.

 

This totally sucks. I have the first 3 they put out and think they're awesome. Optimus Prime, Megatron, & Nemesis Prime, and was hoping to add Soundwave to that list. What I don't understand is they have been sitting on this guy for over a year. Toys Alliance couldn't get this guy produced before the liscence is up. Already had a painted prototype.

This sucks. I just ordered the Toys Alliance Megatron.

 

It's not 3rd party's fault that these folks dragged their feet. It's not like the license was only for three weeks or something.

 

Maybe they couldn’t get licensor approval before the license expiration. They did the design and prototype work, but it could have been hasbro dragging their feet before letting TA take Soundwave into production.

 

I didn't blame 3P companies for this Soundwave not getting released. My point was 3P make whatever figures they want without any approval or licensing fees. Meanwhile Toys Alliance most likely won't be able release this Soundwave for doing things legally and honoring HasTak's IP rights.

 

True enough. I'm mad at Action Toys and taking it out on this random statue company.

 

Oh well. I never liked their fat proportions but was looking foreward to their FoC Optimus Prime.

 

It's a shame we won't see MAS Soundwave, but TBH, if felt a bit too good to be true.

I thought they were just quitting. Perhaps, Hasbro does not want to go with them anymore. I thought they were popular

 

Yeah, I'd be curious as to who is axing this deal, Toy Alliance or Hasbro? Regardless I'll pick up a Prime and just call it a day then.

Pretty much, yeah. Unless they can work out a new licencing deal with Hasbro. Doesn't look that way.

 

What a shame. At least 3Zero have that new Soundwave.

 

Aw crap.  I just was wondering what ever happened with this.  Sorry to see this. I loved the MAS stuff so far.  

 

Yup, it's a shame, this figure looked amazing. Maybe the mold will somehow find it's way into the hands of a 3P company.
