    I'd be down for that.

In the meantime, the Revo Venom does a good job of checking that box:

Edit: actually, I'd also like to see Mafex tackle Savage Dragon.

So, as far as we know, are Superman and Peter B still slated for release in a few days?

My brain fried for a minute and was like "they delayed them a year!" but then I realized February 2021 is in 2 weeks lol.

Peter B Parker and Hush Superman are coming in that time frame too I think.

I did that too. Guess our brains are trained to assume the worst with respect to their release schedule

Feel like they should actually release stuff on time instead of just constantly announcing new stuff

Sounds to me like the delays are on the back-end with production, QA/QC, or logistics rather than concept, design, or marketing.
Which is to say that diverting "work" away from the front-half will not necessarily affect positive change on the issues for the back-half.

Essentially, it's a bottle-neck, and while you could certainly make the argument that future releases should not be fed into the back-half bottle-neck until it's sorted, you'd essentially be advocating for a furlough of the front-half, and I'm not sure if that solves anything and is more likely to create a drought later on.

Think of it in terms of a grocery store. If the checkout queues are backed up, you don't necessarily tell your distribution centres to withhold future shipments and furlough your replenishment crews simply because the front-end process is backlogged. You keep replenishing as planned and hope your checkout queues get sorted sooner than later.

Sure, once it is sorted, the flood-gates will be unleashed in terms of product hitting the market, but that's really more of a self-inflicted wound by the consumer in that we're way more apt to go, "Oh did my MAFEX pre-order get delayed this month? Well, that's $80+ that I can put towards something else in the interim," rather than keeping that budgeted amount allocated where it was initially.

As much as I hate the concept of paid pre-orders, I will admit that they do help to guard against unintentionally shooting oneself in the foot budget-wise buying things with future money. Kind of like a weird twist on the "a bird in hand" axiom.

Finally broke down and bought more Mafex figures.
I got comic version Spider man and had to get Venom and Carnage (not pictured) to go with him.

Then there is Hush Batman. There is so much cape that it takes a lot time to pose. 20210119_155124.jpg 20210119_160722.jpg
    Makes cool shadows.

Edit: here's all four figures together.

Black version arrived today. Quick recreation of that Jim Lee art. I like it and all but sometimes I wish it was as big as the McFarlane figures.

No you want it. It is amazing. I put mine in a similar pose on a high-shelf looking down, and it is glorious.
My only complaint is that because it looks so good in the first pose I tried, I'm loathe to ever take him down and actually try posing him around in other ways.
Basically, you're going to need two.

I also don't get the complaints for too much cape, but that's probably because I always intended him to have his cape flared. I guess it might be more cumbersome for basic standing poses.
    IMG_6975.jpg IMG_6977.jpg

Makes me wish that I had a proper photography set up because free-hand/blurry snapshots on a ladder for the no-flash pic does not do how it appears to the naked eye in a shadowed room justice.

Now, MAFEX, please please please give me Batman TAS.
