That was Marlboro and not Hasbro/Takara's doing, they were going to sue and then Takara changed the deco. There's a US law against branding smoking things towards kids, but not an international or Japanese one. Basically Marlboro was just covering their ass.

The Revoltech figure was a collector figure being released in another country than the US, the only explanation is that it was Marvel's decision.

Off the top of my head I can think of Mezco's Popeye figures, they're fully licensed and have smoking pipes, fully distributed in the US/world.

And lobo. Storm collectibles put out a lobo with a cigar molded in one of the heads as well as two cigars so he can be holding it if you use a different headsculpt

    Hm. Good points there.
It's been too long since Exhaust came out, so I can't remember if Marlboro stepped in specfically or not. I DO remember that with the Wolverine it was Revoltech's call, not that Marvel had a hand in it. At least as far as we know from information that's publically available.

Anyway, if you get your figure and it comes with everything you hope it would, cool.

Judging by which X-Man got picked first on the playground and the number of assholes who named their sons Logan when I worked at the LCS, kids want to be Wolverine and the ones who grow up and can't want their kids to be

Not sure if you're in the US but if you were I don't think you'd need to ask that question. We've got tons of people here who would like to be Stormfront, so no, it's not a leap to think there are people who want to be Wolverine.

Just got an Amazon JP delay email for Miles, Peter B, Catwoman, and DKR Joker. All moved to January. So absolutely nothing getting released in December.

I think that was already moved to January? That's what my Amazon order says now. Either way who the hell knows lol. I just hope they honor the lower cost shipping instead of like $30 per figure.

not yet since he is in January, but all of those won’t release in January, so it is a safe bet he’ll be delayed too. Thought this was finally the month for Miles *grumbles*

Yeah that's not happening lol. I know the US is experiencing a COVID uptick; is the rest of the world? Like Mafex got pushed back initially and then put out some figures, but now it's like they're not working at all anymore.

I don't know how Japan is doing, but some nations are reinstituting lockdowns again from what I saw on the news. Don't know if that's affecting MAFEX or if there are other problems with them right now though.

That's fair, I was just communicating that so far they haven't pushed the date back.

Hm. Pass for me. I haven't loved any of the DKR figures. IMO the character design doesn't translate well to a 3d form.

Cheers if you're into it though.
