To be released in 2024
Oh, so this will be released early?
Yeah I eventually did that and a day later they finally moved Miles (And Peter B) to December. I like to think it was from my email heh.
And about Homelander... I'm sure he'll look great. And I love The Boys. But it's not something I feel like I need action figures from, ya know?
Cant wait to get this in 2030
Whoa! That's really unexpected IMO. Definitely kills any desire I had for the NECA line before they even showed anything. I wasn't even sure how popular the series was in the US, not too many of my friends have seen it, but getting a toy from a Japanese company is a pretty good sign.
I was dubious of NECA’s ability to nail any of the characters’ likenesses anyway. They’re honestly pretty bad at human face sculpts. Granted, MAFEX has work to do too, but I’m more confident in this one
Not the biggest fan of The Boys so the only interest I would have in a Homelander is so I could display him getting curb stomped by Superman. Not doing that with an $80+ figure.
I really enjoyed The Boys and am looking forward to the next season but I can say I am not really interested in collecting figures of the characters. lol. It's cool that they are doing them though. I do wish we got more updates on the progress of their already announced figures as we do on these new reveals.
Similarly, I remember reading somewhere else somebody wanting collectibles/figures based on the Big Lebowski. All I can think of was this:
I mean it's not like superheroes don't make up the vast majority action figures, I don't know why anyone would think it odd to own a figure based on this show.
I absolutely love the show, one of my faves, but the only characters I’d feel compelled to own figures of so far would just be Homelander, Starlight, and Billy. Maybe Queen Maeve
I'd absolutely get a Queen Maeve if they included multiple bongs and empty beer bottles as accessories. Also I can't help but feel like I'd go for Maeve, Starlight, Kimiko, and Stormfront. Just. you know. For reasons. Reasons that don't involve having a soundchip that can blast X Gon' Give It To Ya' on demand.
If we couldn't get the cigar-holding hand with Revoltech Wolverines I wouldn't hold your breath for a Maeve with "paraphernalia".
That more so has to do with Marvel not wanting it included, I think Amazon doesn't really care if they come with that stuff.
Having a display of the ladies getting it done and beating the absolute shit out of Stormfront would indeed be great haha
He's pretty nice TBH. I'm satisfied. I kind of wish his Jersey was removable without clipping some stitches though, for MEME purposes.
I'm pretty sure it was a U.S. law issue more than a hangup on Marvel's part.
Homelander should come with a baby bottle.
Revoltech figures aren't distributed in the US as far as I know, so US law wouldn't applyl. Marvel banned smoking almost 20 years ago for heroes, this article points to Wolverine specifically:
When Did Marvel Ban Smoking in Their Comic Books?
I don't really agree with Quesada. I never ever would think Wolverine is a role model. He's a hero kids like, but do kids grow up thinking they want to be Wolverine?
Neither are HasTak MPs, but they still had to change the deco for Exhaust. Its not a law specific to a particular brand or type of toy/collectible, more a general rule about what can be associated with products that can theoretically be marketed/sold to children.
