Damn. Been waiting for a reissue, but this doesn't seem like one. So wtf was it?

 

Also the black Batman Hush.

Both actually sold out earlier but seems the restock has a restock. Lol! I've only seen them and Plaza Japan get the restock. If other retailers are also getting it, well, they might get stuck unsold units since I'm assuming these 2 retailers got the jump on people wanting to buy them since being sold out.

Funny anecdote that may or may not mean anything but when the Hush Superman first got released and sold out, I was in contact with one of the smaller toy sellers. I'm not gonna name who but when I asked about if more are coming, the seller said they can place an order if I'm willing to wait. So maybe these Mafex are really MTO and can be reordered but no guarantees as to when it will be reproduced?

 

Just tried to order from Hobby Search... cart jacked before I could complete the order...

 

I wouldn't second guess anything to save $20 if you really wanted this figure. Typically only BBTS gets reissues for whatever reason.

Yeah it appears that's just what they did.

It is a reissue, but they just premade a certain amount. I don't know why only Hobbysearch got it, but as usual BBTS was the only US store to get the reissue.

WOW! They finally sold out! That is insane... Keep watching their site because they'll restock some eventually.

 

Had some big regret passing on that Batman and Superman, so glad to have these reissues pre-ordered even if they're more than I'd have liked to pay (read: if more Japanese retailers put them up too).

Not gonna go all in on the DC stuff - these will literally be the first DC characters in my collection somehow - but... man the Hush line has looked so good.

I'll probably get Nightwing too when he comes out but for now not much more lol.

 

I've never owned a Mafex figure, but once I saw Cyborg Superman I knew I had to get it. Both Bats and Supes seem like awesome figures as well, so here I am playing catchup. No plans beyond those at the moment though.

 

I ordered the hush superman 2 days ago from hobbysearch. I ordered it with EMS shipping, which came out to be around 11,000 yen. But I wish I had ordered from BBTS, which is cheaper and has collector’s condition.

i just need the blue hush batman.

Hobby Search does have a monthly shipping program but it is more expensive if you ship one at a time. On the flip side, you'll get it months before BBTS so I call it the early tax lol.

 

Seems to be back up at BBTS. Just got one.

EDIT: Gone. Well they had more than one. So I assumed it was a semi restock.

 

I am glad I got Hush Superman overall but there are merits of getting it from BBTS vs Hobbysearch

 

I think it depends.... if you are not ordering much, I think it's worth going with BBTS. I regularly order Macross, Evangelion, Figma, Mafex, and Play Arts figures, so I prefer Hobby Search /AmiAmi because I receive the figure months in advance. Also, from my experience, Hobby Search's Customer Service is super solid. I received a broken Kaiyodo Rei Ayanami and they hooked me up with a new leg on my next shipment. The downside, if I didn't have a shipment, it probably would have cost roughly 30 bucks to ship the part.

 

I have MAFEX Supes and Batman (Black) on pre order at BBTS. Cannot wait.

Lol! Now people want the blue hush Batman. Didn't that linger a bit longer after the black version sold out?

 

I think people want it due to the extra accessories.

 

The blue version did linger for a long time. I had it in my cart multiple times when it came out. I even ordered it once at hobbylink but cancelled it right after. I think it was all those youtube videos making a big deal about the cape being overwhelmingly big bothered me at that time.

By the time I came around to the idea that the cape is fine and just billowy, it got sold out. Now, I need a blue hush batman in my collection next to my Mcfarlane year two batman!!!

 

The cape on the blue one is a bit harder to manage. In think there's more fabric used on that one. I guess one can always hope for Medicom to restock these but it just feels so random without rhyme or reason.
