Does anyone still collect/play the classic WizKids collectible miniatures games? I'm considering unloading my old Mechwarrior and Mage Knight pieces if there is still interest, or I may settle for arranging them on a[VERY LARGE] shelf near my TF's...though I'd love to finance more TF's via their sale:p .

Used to, but the game died off around where I am. The only reason I still have any still around is for kitbashing purposes.

I see. I still have all of mine, including some very interesting unique pieces. I wasn't into tournaments and the like, but enjoyed casual play. I'll try to slap some pictures together.

Mage Knight is definitely dead in any official capacity. Whether or not fans still really buy those, I don't know. If you find some, maybe I'd have a chance at last to unload my own!

    Can't help with Mechwarrior though.

And don't get me started on the callous treatment of MK players. Once WizKids got their true cash cow, Heroclix, Mage Knight got dropped like a hot potato. Serves them right that their more recent games aren't faring much better, although Heroclix, bane of my existence, lives on.

Indeed. I actually picked up a few boosters of Heroclix, and was sickened shortly after. The game didn't/doesn't have the pizazz of MK/MW. At any rate, glad to see some can relate.

I bought these like crazy when they first came out, into the first two or so expansions. Never got the crazy huge dropship, but I wanted it baddddly. I only ever played against 2 other people, but we all loved the little things and had a lot of fun with them.

Those always seemed like a pretender to the Battletech throne. I loved some Battletech back in the day. Painting the mechs yourself was half the fun.

You can paint the CMG figs too, ya know. :)  A lot of CBT types do that as the as Infantry actually have really good sculpts for their size and match up pretty well to the 'real' minis. Nevermind kitbashing...plastic is always easier to cut up/shape then metal is.

To bad the Mechwarrior figs are a bit to small to serve my current kitbashing needs.
