Only thing I want to know is - are certain merchants going to get a bonus thing that others aren't?

 

For all the extra accessories that price is very reasonable. Mostly I think the idea 3p(outside of KO's) are not stealing money from Hasbro, but at this price point these Hot Soldiers feel like direct competition. I know if this was out a few years ago and I was thinking about buying a CHUG or CW Ironhide I would skip the Hastak and just pick this guy up.

 

Somehow I missed BBTS having the preorder up on this guy. Rock on.

 

Preorder in at TCP. I already own the DX9 Ironhide, but I liked MP's Soundwave/Blaster so I'll stick with them on whatever else they'll crank out. I hope we get a Diaclone Black Vanette redeco to go along with the inevitable Ratchet.

Well, I've got Prime Cyberverse, DX9, and Shapeshift WFC already... might as well get this and have an entire little legends Ironhide collection.

So how long before Ratchet is solicited? Wasn't Soundblaster solicited right after Soundwave was released? I can't remember.

 

eh i don't think he'd be a viable replacement for anything chug. these guys stand maybe a head over legends figures. he'd be waaaaay too short to be a good ironhide for a chug collection.

 

Yeah, probably not. This guy looks better than their Soundwave and only a couple bucks more. I'm looking forward to seeing how this guy turns out in hand, and seeing if Ratchet and Sideswipe retain the same level of quality.

 

i am confounded at how legends toys can look better than MPs.

 

These are like legends size MP's. I can't wait to have a whole collection of them. And Mech Planet with their price makes it easier to double dip on certain characters. Assuming they keep that price.

 

Won't they need more time for remolding? Maybe new accessories? I don't remember seeing a prototype for Ratchet yet.

 

New head, light bar, Ratchet. I'm sure they made this in CAD.

 

Is it bad the only thing i want now is a small voyager KO upsize of this?

Looks pretty cool. The DX9 WIP Ironhide is still a decent figure but this looks like a better effort especially when you factor in the mini accessories.

Their Soundwave was a good effort but lacks some of the articulation of other DX9/IF figures.

 

Ratchet looks good too. So a good chance of having both of them in hand by the end of the year then.

 

I hope so. Maybe October or November for him. Obviously just a guess.

 

I decided to put in a preorder for this guy. I have the DX9 Ironhide, but I've been finding that he doesn't age well next to their more recent releases, especially since they moved to a slightly larger scale. I skipped the Hot Soldiers Soundwave, but this looks really good and the price is too good to pass on.
