I couldn't justify a full set of MP jets on my wallet but I'll be damned if I don't do in on a full set of these at there legends/deluxe sizing!

 

I'll only go in if there OS like their Dino's were. These would be so nostalgic in G1 size with the modern perks of articulation and cunning Transformations. Love em and I already own the original DX9 versions anyway !!

 

Ugh, WTF, why couldn't they keep the dx9 faces??? Why???

 

Looks good(better than pockettoys) but argh, why

 

Meh I'll get the pocket toys don't see the need for releasing them again a cm or two taller

 

MFT really needs to make a damned release flow chart. I'm starting to have a hard time keeping up with when they are putting things out.

I know Megatron is next month.

 

How about finishing up those Dinobots first MFT.

 

Also, make him $20 please. Half the draw of mft is their cheap prices. If that means no diaclone pack-in, them that's just fine.

Me too! The face sculpt on the originals was the main reason I never got them (despite loving the Seekers set). It struck me as oversized relative to the body and kinda derpy looking on top of that. I wonder what don't you like about the new sculpt, Cha Chi?

Anyway, if these weren't oversized, I definitely grab a set.

 

The pocket toys release has flight stands.

 

I much prefer the originals, i did try buy the original sets several times even though i was waiting for these for size reasons, the original faces are much more screen accurate and capture the characters better. Along with dx9 kup some of the best faces dx9 have done. This face is not terrible which is fortunate but expression is just angry growly pointy eyebrows and not really that interesting. This face has more definition in that it sticks out more etc but expression wise the dx9 is light years ahead imo.


Please please please, hope MFT includes a set of the original faces.

These really look 1:1 with DX9. There's no apparent size difference between pins, posts or joints. I'd half expect bigger hands like they did for Megatron and the Dinobots, but even those look identical.

It's odd that they'd make a new face while seemingly not oversizing them. I hope I'm wrong and they are bigger. The DX9 Seeker mould is awesome at any size.

I agree with @Cha Chi about the face, too. This one isn't bad, but the DX9 really nails the G1 cartoon face.

 

Yes, someone agrees. Thanks NOCV. Fingers crossed we can some how still get those amazing faces.

Btw there is a clue if you look at the hands, they are thicker suggesting they are bigger but still hold 3mm. It is subtle but there which is good because they didn't need to upscale them massively to fit their line.

 

I'm glad they changed the face - the DX-9's faces were laughably bad.

Could do with some wing stripes though to break up the bland wings. I think if I had to I'd put those rockets on backwards - as really they need mounting on the leg wings but there is no hole for them.

I don't much care for the articulation inhibiting drop down spikes from the wing roots - they will juet get in the way and make the toy less fun to play with. Is someone makes a better option in terms of playability - i'd likely go with that and perhaps consider getting these ones only for the jet modes.

If they'd put a folding hinge on the spikes on the wings or left them off or, painted the wings with some stripes i'd be more enthused.
I'm more of a Ramjet and Thrust fan anyway - so I'll have to see what they look like I guess.

If they are like $20.00 I might have to think about them - as I'm not sure I like them enough to pay $60.00 for a set when that is pretty much what the DX-9 ones cost as a set (more or less).

I think these go on the low priority pile for the time being as something to get later on once i've got more interesting releases like the Dinobots or Hulkie, Shockwave or Springer.

If someone doubly overscales the DX-9 ones like happened to DX-9 Ratchet then I'd be all over that for sure as it might fill that eternal gap than no one ever seems to properly fill of decent Voyager Seekers and Coneheads.

Any one heard of this Pocket toys before or have the 6 figures ? They seem to be doing a Shockwave too. Renamed Mech Fans toys ?
