I am genuinely confused. There's a lot of word thrown around "this is chug, that's not a chug". For a new fans that's just hella confusing.

Could you ask if they'd do decos/figures based on the ps2 game?

I got armada starscream already and love him, but this looks next level. If hasbro doesnt make a thundercracker out of the legacy mold by the time this (hopefully) releases, im gonna get it.

EDIT: you know what? Im gonna get him even if hasbro releases thundercracker. Im all in on 3P toy that are not MP, because that scale sucks. Also, you have to bear in mind that Legacy starscream is on the shorter side, not SS86 ironhide short, but shorter than the average voyager. they gotta keep them coming. They have my support now

I always warned about this. I’ve been collecting since a kid, and “CHUG” stopped making sense as a reference a long time ago.

CHUG = Classics (in reference to the G1 based line as it was released by Hasbro), Henkei (in reference to the same line as released by Takara, with variations), Universe (in reference to the line subsequent to Classics, with the same basic idea as Legacy, to capture more of the different universes as well as continue the G1 stuff), and Generations (in reference to the beginnings of Generations when it was originally released also in the spirit of Universe.)

So, “CHUG” became what collector’s generally call an updated figure in scale with other updated figures for various iterations of the franchise, and their collections since this captured the essence of these four lines.

The thing is, Generations blew up to eventually became the parent line to all updated figures, including Studio Series, and lines like Combiner Wars, WFC, and now even Legacy and Buzzworthy, so it became confusing to many.

As I’ve said a million times, “CHUG” unless accompanied by an explanation of the history, does not refer distinctly/specifically to anything anymore. Three of the four lines do not exist anymore and Generations has evolved to no longer be what the “G” in that acronym once meaningfully referenced. When people use “CHUG” now (and I’m speculating here so please don’t lose your minds), it’s basically denoting an updated, Generations-style figure.

PS, this was intended as generally informative history, not interested in debating any one about it, I have work to do today. Peace.

Chug is a outdated term, the WFC trilogy kinda put in place a scale that some people still call chug but I am mainly referencing that scale, so he’s in between the lG and voyager so it’s basically almost in that scale is what I was tryna get at

The exact scale seems to be hard to tell but it looks like it's borderline between Legends + and a small deluxe so it should be functionally adiquate as either I guess. I tried standing a few things on that model of stand and it gives me that impression anyway.

So chug can be categorized as Hasbro's official mainline scale right? At least that's what I am getting at

    YouTube (Legacy):
This is litterally maybe an few cms taller then the trilling 30 figure which was definitely chug. in the cartoon armada starscream was maybe a head taller then hotshot. If the universe 2.0 and legacy hotshots are considered chug, then this guy is chug. End of story, bye bye! See you later.

If anything, the legacy armada starscream is more accurate scaling to fanshobby armada stuff then it is to the other chug scale figures.

Legacy is still too small for Fans Hobby's stuff (He and Megatron do scale right if you got by the Energon scale charts) but he's also oddly the correct scale with Legacy Armada Optimus.

So basically they're going more game scale with Legacy it seems, which if it means Titan Tidal Wave than that's fine.
