The cancellation of Transformers Animated was a tragedy to many collectors and fans, in no small part due to the fact that a fourth season expanding the Animated universe never came to be, meaning the fandom missed out on many characters – and toys – that would have been touched by the genius, freshness and Derrick J Wyatt-inspired style of Transformers Animated. But Animated isn’t the only line to have gaping holes in it that Hasbro and Takara Tomy never filled. Masterpiece, Generations, they’re everywhere. So we turned to 3rd party companies to expand our universes, to fill the gaps, and to give us things that are completely new. That brings us nicely to Mech iDeas, their Techno Toon Titans line and the inaugural releases within that line, TTT-01 “Bluster” and “Trench”.

YES! Terrific article! I plugged it in the Mech Ideas Animated announcement thread as well, I hope you don't mind Maz.

Great "review" of these figures. I need to place my order and support the line.

    Unfortunately not.

very nice, one of the main concerns with these 3rd party releases is whether they 'fit in' with the rest of the toys. If the plastic appearance (plastic composition) differs too much from the Hasbro/Takara releases it could put people off from this. Also why no 'its a me Huffer' reference, also I thought Huffer was based on the Italian Mario not Greek Mario ;) . more photos for size height comparison please.

As far as I know, these are Planet Steel Express exclusives for now, but the Mario and Luigi recolours will be available first at TFCon.

Do not mind at all Matty and thank you so much for the kind words :)

Easily one of the best features of these figures, and I was using the unfinished test shots too, I expect to be even more impressed by their posability come final product.

Anything in particular you would like to see them compared with? I won't be returning them/packing them up until the weekend so I could conceivably stand them next to other figures in some pictures tonight assuming I have the toys you want them compared with.

Activators Bumblebee yes, Soundwave, Blackout and Swindle are en route.

I doubt I'll have all of those before I have to return the test shots, though. I'll try and get a picture with the Bumblebee tonight and set up a crowd shot with leader/voyager figures I have :thumb

Great to hear that the colors will be correct on release. Are there any photos of the final Mario and Luigi? I'm going to attempt to get them at TFCon next weekend, and am wondering if anyone took any pictures of them at all.

That is a great picture, looks cartoon accurate and feels like Blackout is a Supreme sized toy and the B and T are deluxe sized toys :D

Mine arrived today! The orange is now much more Huffer-orange. They are pretty cute, few balancing issues and some of the paint looks like it might chip, but otherwise, as an animated fan, I adore them!

Well, this has ostensibly become the feedback thread for these guys I think, so here's my thoughts, in visual format.

Nice pics! Also, I just found the back heels that help with the balancing issue I was having!

Maybe it's because the "new" hasn't wore off, but these toys are genuinely the funnest toys I've had in a while. I broke out a few of my Animated Autobots and have them all displayed together now.

I received my Bluster and Trench today. Fiddled around with them a little. They are definitely Animated toys. Really great addition to the family!
