Hmmm not sure - I think one of the mainline ones had a staple holding the card, but I can't be 100% sure, the reason I remember this, strangely enough was that I got the convention exclusives down the road a bit from TFSource, which had no staples at all.

I rarely hang on to packaging, but I do recall the packs for these guys not being overly designed and / or collectible, even for a 3rd party release, thinking of more recent purchases, packaging has become a big(ger) deal.

Main draw here is the figures themselves, they really are worth it - you can see the budget went into the toys themselves, with pretty no-frills packaging.

I still have the packaging for mine. They are kind of no frills, simple plastic clam shell with a cardboard back. Not much special about it, to make it stand out.

I was able to open them without the tape on the back left and right of the clam shell destroying the cardboard back. I guess if that tape's not there, then it's obvious it's been opened.

Yea I'm not much of a package collector myself. Just kinda OCD about my toys so trying to buy everything MISB before opening. :p

Hmmm, strange how there's been reports of stapled, taped and unsealed. Could retailers be sealing them on purpose? o.o

Mine came unsealed, but in taped plastic bags. Most likely anyone who had theirs taped or stapled was done by the retailer.

Not that I'm going to be able to compare to hardreturn in the least, but nonetheless, with reprolabels:

Really wish they would've tackled other similar mold characters. It seems trying their hand at tf:a didn't work out so well.

I bought these guys on in impulse buy and have regretted it ever since, the reprolabels look good and not over the top like how some sets come out.

If they ever do rerelease these two, I hope they use the chrome that the con exclusive set used. They look great, but the chrome would make them even better.

I got a set of these recently. I like them, but one of them has pretty loose hips. If I can fix those somehow, I'd be satisfied. Also, I need those reprolabels in my life.

After months of searching, I finally got the pair of these guys. They were used, but at a much more reasonable price than what's been on eBay in the previous year.

Plastic quality is excellent, though some of the joints are a little loose.

All in all, very happy to have these figures in hand, and I can't wait to the Demolition Crue leader in hand as well!

Picked up Basil Z and Manuel X from Mech Ideas so I could give Geminus and Apex the chrome parts. Took a few pics tonight.

If they ever do a reissue, they should use the chrome parts.

One of these days, I'm going to do this. The chrome looks so much better, and I keep mine displayed with their G1 counterparts so they would match better, too.

I did it to mine, and it's totally worth it.

These two figures really don't get enough love. They're really cool.

    Not really surprised.

Old releases, too expensive on the aftermarket for what they are (at least, imo), most people have moved onto Masterpiece style figures.

I'm sure if they got a re-release people would be all over them with unanimous praise. Tons more folks into 3P compared to when these first hit.

I think Mech Ideas went out of business though, so that's probably what killed a re-release. It's a real shame, I was in the process of moving when these came out so didn't get them, and I'm sure as hell not paying $150 - $200 for them on eBay now. No way they are worth that much.

Mech Ideas is a sub-company of Mastermind Creations. If they wanted to, they could reissue these guys if they found room in their release schedule.

That'd be nice, because they're stupidly expensive on eBay and such.
