Just got these guys today... they're not bad by any means... but I think they were definitely overrated in the reviews. Glad I got the alt-head though... that thing really kicks ass. Makes me want some zombie TF's with all kinds of battle-damage.

I have them too, and think they're pretty good. Nothing amazing.

But I think the reviews were so glowing because of the cost and posability.

    Definitely a great value.

You're right... for basically only twice the cost of a Hasbo Deluxe, you get a quality figure. Definitely worth the purchase.

Someone make a Chrome accessory add-on set like Hexatron is getting and I'll buy that too.

another factor was that these are characters that haven't had a toy since the original 1985 or 1986 toys.

    Good point.

I think Twintwist may have been my very first bot.

Definitely also factored into getting this set.

Another factor is that Hasbro announced a new Topspin and Twin Twist toys themselves, which looked nothing like the characters.

I'm still waiting for an upgrade kit on the Apex and Geminus that allows them to become Ruination limbs. Couldn't look worse than the Hasbro toys!

As someone with no attachment to the G1 toys and was a bit indifferent to them in Last Stand, I do think the figures are amazing. I find them super articulated with a really cool transformation. I love the similarities and differences between the pair. They look great in a display as an obvious duo.

They are definitely one of my favorite 3rd party products I own.

In the 3P world, it is not that difficult to make a wonderful toy if you can charge astronomic prices. The magic is to make good quality and super poseable toys with affordable prices. For that Mech Ideas indeed made an amazing figure.

I'm glad I got these guys a few days ago. Really nice price, great looking figures, and they're fun to mess around with too! I like how the hammers can collapse and store in different ways on them, plus they look great in my Wreckers display. I can't wait to see what Mech Ideas makes next for their Demolition Crue line. I hope it's Rack'n'Ruin or Impactor. Or Pyro.

Rack'n'Ruin from Mech iDeas would be incredible!

These are some of my favorite 3P figures *looks at sig* lol. The price/quality ratio just hasn't even come close to being beaten yet. Cheaper than Takara deluxes! I even went out of my way to get the Auto Assembly/TFCon versions because they are that good.

Hey guys, got this set and have the reprolabels Autobot symbols with the white background, what size fits best on their chest panels for the symbols? The smallest symbols or the second smallest symbols?

    Thanks.

I ended up using the Wreckers themed labels for mine.

I picked this set up a couple weeks ago from a fellow board member. I have to say I am quite impressed with the overall quality of these two figures. The transformations are very simple and the look of both scream thier G1 namesakes. A must have for anyone.

I hear that the next Reprolabels update will probably include labels for Apex and Geminus. I'm glad that is happening. Will make them near perfect.

This gets bumped just as I ordered these guys...

I haven't seen anything about Mech Ideas in a few months. Are they still planning on continuing this series? Last thing I saw was about the Animated Huffer and Pipes... But that's a different series.
