MFT definitely will be missed. I wonder if they changed strategies and upscaled legends to chug scale if it would have helped. Some of those would have worked pretty well. MFT was also good at making small improvements at a pretty reasonable price.

honestly hoping someone in the mft family has a go at mini-cons, considering armada is on the rise.

I was thinking more along the lines of Newage or Magic Square just tackling the whole of the Uncron Trilogy. That whole era really had some great designs. Modern for the time but still familiar and close enough to G1 that they even had some G1 bots in the background for Armada and didn't look out-of-place in the slightest. I remember someone referring to it somewhere as the true G2 that we deserved. That seems pretty apt to me.

Besides FansHobby, I think you’d be more likely to see Iron Factory adapt Armada characters and the Unicron Trilogy in general.

Give it time. The G1 well will eventually run dry. Although you also have that 3P Cybertron Prime coming out any day now. Maketoys released a Cybertron Starscream about 4 or 5 years ago and that was clearly testing the waters, to less than stellar results, but 2,000's nostalgia is beginning to hit now so maybe this time around there'll be a more enthusiastic response. Fingers crossed.

If they are shutting down it explains why a vendor I got a figure from cannot get replacement parts. I got two right legs in a Vecma Studio Space set and have been dealing with ohmyprimus for a while now to get a replacement leg.

Yeah it's a bummer b/c these guys were my go-to on a budget. I mean, I really like the stuff that newage puts out, but I really can't afford it half the time. MFT/Mech Studio was my best alternative. What a drag :(  .

Hard to say a lot of the KO makers are keeping their head down and things are far from back to normal in China, so it may be a long time yet. and that is even assuming the MBT family is feeling brave enough to stick it's head out and risk getting it chopped off metaphorically speaking.

There may be shows but, the usual suspect Factories might want to stay away for the time being. Ask in the KO thread someone in there might know though.

Hopefully all they will do is sell under another brand rather than shut up shop entirely on KOs

Hopefully. Otherwise I'll end up with an incomplete G1 collection. And I really don't have that many more pieces left to go after I narrowed my list down to seasons 1 & 2.

It seems like 'Mech Fans Toys' may be going by 'Mech Fans Club' now.

Preorders are up for reissues of some of the MFT Shiny Dinobots under that brand name.

Where? I am missing two of the MFT metallic Dinobots that I would love to get if they are sold individually.

Well, I'm glad I got out of Legends collecting. This is much too much. The prices have gone up, the designers and companies go the way of the dodo all the time in 3rd party, it seems, and it's just such a mess.

I do think they're wonderful figures, I get why you're all heartbroken, I really do. This sucks.

Yeah, I've had the same thought many times. Often wondering how much longer until any given company dissolves and I'm left with an incomplete collection. It all just seems like a waste of time and money in retrospect.
