Cerebros? Please. Apeface and Snapdragon are the ones that need some attention.

Hey, does anyone here happen to have Magic Square Scrapper/Mixmaster and MFT Inferno/Grapple to do a size comparison? Or maybe just post Scrapper and Mixmaster's robot heights in CMs?

Taobao ships overseas. But since this is an international site with TF fans from around the world, they're free to discuss whatever site they use to buy their stuff. Cos if not this site, then where?

E.G. if you found a good deal on a Dutch store, do you not want to post it for the benefit of the Dutch people here?

The logic is the same here. Time to move on.

That's not an excuse. And it's spelt "TaoBAO", not "TaoBOA", FYI.

This board is never short on Tahnjas.
At least you get a laugh out of it while you wait for your toys to get in stock.

I thought I read here that "Vecma" is no more, so no more Headmasters - unless MFT continue to produce them under the MFT label. I would like to see a re-engineered Snapdragon minus the poor proportions and poor articulation in bot mode.

I read about that, and I think it was that the factory where they made those had shut down due to covid. But I might be misremembering that, so don't take my word for it. Anyway, the Mechanic Toys branch is improving so they might do something on that front. Giving Rodimus a targetmaster partner gave me hope they'd make the other targetmasters eventually, but they're sure taking their sweet time, pandemic aside. We still haven't gotten colored images of Springer and I believe he was announced about a year ago.

    Question time, folks.

How did you 'global' (as in MST, NA and MFT) collectors like Mechanic Studio Tracks? I'm not fussed about the size/scale, but I'd love to know your general opinion about his design and overall quality.

    Thanks in advance! ^_-

He's one of the better MFT figures articulation wise. Transformation is fun - not hard, not simple, great for fiddling. Only slight negative is his rockets are parts-formy with no storage in vehicle mode. Scale is legends+ so if you're a scale snob, that's a potential issue, but he's great as a standalone bot. If you can grab him for ~$25 it's a must-have.

It's back in stock at Show.Z Store for 38ish, but I'm still very much tempted...

It uses a flexible and durable plastic that feels nice and safe to handle, unlike their Sideswipe/RA mold. Still wish it had some sort of weapon storage.

I like it quite a bit, though having handled it for a few months, I do think it's overpriced when compared to the similarly priced Mechanic Studios Triple Changers. $30 feels more appropriate, as it feels as complex and as finished as a Magic Square figure. It lacks the insane amount of paint and the die cast of a lot of New Age's pricier figures (though I feel those are overpriced, too). Perhaps if Mechanic Studios had scaled it up to the SIZE of their triple changers, I'd feel the $35-$40ish price were more warranted. The transformation is the picture of elegant simplicity, and all three modes look great.

Just a quick heads up, because the instructions, like all Mechanic Studios instructions, are terrible and leave out important steps: When you're going from car to robot, make sure and slide the robot head up (by way of the fold-out handle on the bottom of the car) BEFORE you begin transforming the front half of the car into the legs. The slider mechanism also retracts a pair of tabs that lock the legs in place. A lot of reviewers miss this and you can see them struggling a bit as they wrench against those tabs. I did it this way the first couple of times, and while it didn't seem to do any damage, I did notice some wear on those tabs that probably wouldn't be there had I done it correctly. Potentially, over time, you could end up snapping them. Similarly, when going from robot to car, transform the legs first, and then retract the head.

At the very least, transforming it in this order makes it a lot easier to go from car to robot and the other way around.

Also, be very careful with the little missiles on the rack that goes on his head. I found on mine that the tolerances between the holes on the missiles and the pegs on the rack were too tight, and one of the missiles cracked from minor handling. They're sending a replacement part, but just be aware in case yours are also very tight.

Otherwise, enjoy! He's a really fun figure, my favorite update of the G1 toy.

That's great and very informative, thanks so much. I'll keep all that in mind.
Are you aware of any video that shows the correct transformation (i believe Tracks comes out of the package in car mode, am I right?) from start to finish?
