Yes, can consider Springer 2.0 but due to some internal matters Mechanic Toys are considered a separate different branch of MFT. That's why they insist this is their first attempt on doing Springer.

 

I can't say I'm against it. Their current one could use some improvement but I would've wanted a new character like a triple changer headmaster instead.

 

Ditto. The first MFT Springer wasn't the greatest design. This should be a big improvement.

 

I am just glad I did not get the first version.
With how they make them now it should become a big improvement.
With the names, I so far understand that with Mechanic studio, they are different designers that work with MFT.
That is why the last 2 movie bots were released under Dr WU, they design and work with others who already have production lines going.
Maybe they sell the designs or get a % of each sold, I do not know but they want to be know that they are not MFT per se that started with the KO's

 

I'll gladly put a new Springer on my G1 legends shelf and move the current one to my IF table. Until IF makes one some day, then I'll move it to a misc shelf.

 

this looks incredible. I'm hoping they follow the pattern that they started with Astrotrain and eventually release one in toy colors with a toy head.

if astrotrain was any indication of different decos, it should be around the same time or shortly afterwards.

 

The same with magnus and hound, the recolours came short after the first release.
The only delay is twincast so far
