That said, I think it's at least arguable that Alanna isn't normal human sized. Homegirl is almost as tall as Seaspray even when in squishy meat form:


She gains MAYBE a foot or so in height when she becomes the Gondolaformer. Whatever the case, there doesn't seem to be much of a variance when she starts messing with Deceptitran's workstation, which is TF scaled:



But as you say, who even knows? In my opinion, there's at least some arguable evidence that Seaspray, like A-Train, just has some wild mass shifting silliness going on.

Interesting-----if that upper level is "human scaled" then that is a pretty large hovercraft (though still not ferry/channel-crossing size), and we sorta have a Combiner Wars Magnus cab situation where the alt mode is "bigger than it first looks". (To a much lesser degree)

 

The cartoon shows none of that detail. I think the animators thought he was a smaller craft.

Not so fast! Not wade into (heh) this controversy, but keep in mind Transformers frequently showed humanoid aliens as being the same size as Cybertronians. Such as in The Gambler. So for all we know, Alanna and her undersea peeps were HUUUGE.

 

....um. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. That she's probably not a "normal sized" humanoid alien. Someone else made the argument that Alana being comparatively large next to Seaspray as proof that he was small, not me.
